A
place
to sigh-
impressions
of recollections
in lasting retrospective lie.
Venice-the most beautiful city I have visited.
shimmering days leave
sun’s cozy warmth and bright shine
fade tiptoeing soft
recollections tucked in heart
pining for amber grandeur
A MAGA cap was among the selections
It brought back some dark recollections
Stormy Daniels cost DJT a few erections
~ Trump cost the GOP a few elections
Thoughts and possessions
Boxes in my mind
Empty recollections
Going back in time
Memories forever
as long as I exist
Who should I will them to?
Should I make a list?
noises off
abound,
all around:
blackbirds,
willow
maples,boats
and fishing nets:
recollections ,
immersed
memories in
whispered sounds
Endearing memories come to mind
Celebrations shared from the past
Timeless recollections from my youth
Those tender musings I hold dear
Treasured moments from yesteryears
Like the waves of a storm-swept gray sea
breakers rushing furiously toward me
Thrashing recollections of what once was
memories that will nevermore be
Some elderly, glamorous, Hollywood maidens
Gathered at the meeting in "mourning clothes."
O, poor creatures with sudden recollections,
About losing their maiden honour. Supposed.
We're breathing
In the same world, same air
We always think about us
Boosting all our doser recollections
Those should be ample to make us grin
It has to be plentiful at least for now
Thinking about a close friend who died a long time ago:
The days pile up
And the seasons come and go,
The moons wax and wane,
Years continuously flow,
How long will I remember . . .

A LIVING PAINTING
A
place
to sigh-
impressions
of recollections
in lasting retrospective lie.
Venice-the most beautiful city I have visited.
muted
subordinate
sardonic,rambling
recollections
envelop the ill-informed-
mislead,
with selected
distortions
of the truth...
voicing opinions
as fact
A more naked light filters through
branching nervous systems.
A fade and shade
seeps into dendritic pathways
shedding forever
falling leaves,
recollections of so many
dissolving
autumnal moments.
My recollections -
whether they be good or bad -
do not make me glad.
Best times cannot be remade;
if I’m lucky, , , bad ones fade.

For Michael J. Falotico's Reflection Poetry Contest
Woeful,
my painful past,
that leaves me woebegone
for my loved ones now gone above.
Full of melancholy and grief-stricken
and lost in sad recollections.
I have been crushed forlorn
in thoughts and left,
woeful.
As surrounded by
To find comfort in
Most splendid of artefacts
An era's, bygone
He's turned it into
While is placed therein
His mind, such, a museum.
Web-free. Nor dim-lit.
One this oft toured does befit.
Daily; and night-long.
Paintings in blue
Hanging on newsroom den,
All captured
memories from the past
Rendered on velvet.
Abstract visions-
Treasures, these keepsakes from Grandma;
Dearly loved recollections.

LOVE THOUGHTS AT DUSK
Bathing in twilight
recollections grab my sky--

Personal poignant passages pure
Odes, oddities, and opinions to opine
Essence of everyday evolution evokes
Truth and tales trumpeted to transcend
Repetition, rhyme; recollections revealed
Yammering and yearning till yarns are yielded
We Create…
So many gems lay sparkling in our minds
of wondrous days and years, we can recall;
and each gets glossier as it unwinds,
while joyous recollections shine, enthrall.
Pray that our shiny jewels are kept sublime-
as we proceed to polish them with time.

The house is quiet again,
visitors gone home
sipping coffee alone
recalling just yesterday
the memories shared over the years
too quickly, time, lives, loves
all pass away
and we find ourselves alone
in the quiet
with all our missed recollections
of the days gone by.
Luckily I am not yours,
To fondle and defile,
My beating soul lies elsewhere,
You can adorn me with recollections,
But I will be one goddess less,
One saint more,
I will come along the sunset,
To steer you towards the heavens,
Then in your mouth I spit anesthetic saliva,
And you are no more.
Not a view of the future
Or a take on the present
Simply recollections of the past
Truth or fiction?
Anecdote or fact?
Looking warmly back
Good things not bad
Imparts hope
Always fond memories prevail or do they?
