Slick Limerick
Susan Burch came bubble-wrapped
Not ready, but waiting, to be sent back
A reject toy
Till she met a boy
Who unwrapped her with happy claps

Emotional Armor
There she stands in her armor plating,
Emotionally distant, her eyes are hating
Proud like a general of his military rating,
Prepared for a battle, she’s ready and waiting
So much for this so call love and mating....

Premium Member Crockpot Comfort
Winter is a great time for crockpot recipes
Simmering through the day, bringing comfort food
After a long cold day of getting things done,
Dinner is ready and waiting to enjoy
Crockpot comfort is something to try
As the winter days linger on, going by

Heartbreak hotel
Feelings unobliged
Fortuitous flailings
Unbridled undertones
Benign beginnings
Stalwart sensations
One step forward
Conscious awareness
Forgotten sublimes
New roads reclaimed
A better man arises
Love roads renewed
Composite bliss blessings
Ready and waiting
Summer bossa brewed
Finder's keepers....

A Call To the Ring
A call to the ring
singing and ringing
the replier has gone with the twisting
as long before ago come for finishing.

A finger in the ring
showing love without crying
it is a prison of dying
a jail of impact recovering.

Sense and heart as sharp as a tack ding dong
as the soul in ready and waiting
to slash the mist of tearing
life has no wasting....

Training the Heart
This train is not the one I need,
Though it's warm and inviting,
It doesn't fit me.
The service I want is indefinitely delayed,
Though I'm ready and waiting, and I've already paid.

I stand with my bags, looking down at the track,
For I've chosen my train and I cannot go back.
Although there'd be others; betters, perhaps,
The promise of maybe keeps me platformed and trapped....

Get out of your
own way your -
Stop the tug of war
Just let it happen ~

You don't have
to try so hard ..
When the wheels
are already inmotion-
Be ready and waiting
keep your eyes
open
Just let it happen~

Don't push nor pull
It's all downhill
just let it happen~

When you think
you're in control,
you're out of control
just let it roll-
watch things
unfold when you
just Let it happen~...

The Old Homestead and the Clear Blue Sky
It’s the place where I belonged
In my room listening to my songs
The tree outside my window bent and swayed
Where I felt I could have stayed

My bike always rested against the wall
Ready and waiting at my recall
And playing cricket in the backyard
Was a cool evening summer’s greeting card

Oh, to return to those days again
Where there were no worries and ready friends
As my days blend and pass by
My mind is in the old homestead and a clear blue sky.

Life According To Dmb
Life Accordingly
I must have been asleep or reading
when life came knocking at my door.
It wasn’t easy to be ready and waiting
after all, I think I’ve been here once before.

Each path is destined to be both happy, sad and open
but when death comes be sure your piece was spoken.
The lessons of the past are hard and trying
but in the end, I still leave physically dying.

So once again if my life lessons remain unlearned
the call of birth will cause me to return....

Autumn Colors
AUTUMN COLORS

Trees, and endless squadrons of their fellows,
In full dress with their medals, reds and yellows:
An army in bronze and topaz uniform,
Ready and waiting for orders to fall in and conform;
And in fall - with its rich golden leaf
And needles polished - ready to guard its fief.
