Love's Aroma

Must keep writing, got much to relive It's easy just to say, “got no more to give!” As long as I'm sniffing Love's aroma I'm wishing If I ramble on incoherently, please do forgive

Love's Aroma

Must keep writing, got lots to relive It's so easy to just say, “got no more to give!” As long as I'm still sniffing Love's aroma I'm still wishing If I ramble on incoherently, please do forgive © Jack Ellison 2015

Wit and Nonsense

Things in life are very certain,
And ya couldn't change them if ya tried,
But listen to me while I ramble on,
So you will know my brain's not fried.

Traveling through life's span of time,
Wondering where our feet will pass,
Knowing not what will befalls us,
If you eat beans, they'll give you gas.

Moving On

Stepping from the fray
And towards the way beyond
the sunrise cries freedom
And my feet ramble on

Weary, I will continue
Missing you along the way
But still I will press forward
Until my trails last day

I am alone, now
But alone I'm in command
And I will see this through
Until the very end

Moon Talks

It's that time of the night again
when I call the moon to my window sill
Eager to tell it stories of the day gone by
Because it listens to them silent and still...
I ramble on my thoughts, my angst, my pain
while it travels past the night with little stress or strain
As it bids goodbye at the break of dawn
I know it will miss me too like a lover lovelorn !

Rambling

how did he become her consciousness?
and why am i speaking in third person?
and why did he catch every raindrop from hitting me before opening this umbrella?
and why am i speaking in third person?
why do I still have this broken umbrella?
and why did he let me ramble on and on..and on and on..?

i jumped on the next flight to L.A.X, looking for answers...

Truth Be Told

Art thou deaf to logic
or dumb to sound
Is thy mind broken
Canst you not see

Deliver thy thought
and fear not others
Speak with the mouth
and utter sound

Be not a quiet noise
Letting others ramble on
If the be right then speak
If the be wrong be silent

If truth not be told
Then a lie will be heard
Leading others wrong
Spew the truth always

If not shut up

The Truth In This Poets Life

What is the the truth
The truth would be
I am in love
My heart is full of joy
Abundantly
I am a poetic voice
By choice
I ramble on
Yes mabye not making sense
My style is my own
I fall into my sorrow and pain
Though the memories will always remain
My sadness and depression settles deep within
Though I am slowly healing
I have found love
And I have learned to begin again.

Rambling

Sleepless nights,
Tales from a rambling man,
Ramble on,
Ramble on,
To deaf ears,

Long flights,
With both feet on the ground,
Ramble on,
Ramble on,
But no one hears a sound,

Give your all to the world,
With intentions of receiving nothing,
Ramble on,
Ramble on,
Am I working towards something?

Let my words soothe your soul,
Let my heart give you happiness,
Ramble on,
Ramble on,
Ramble on,

Before

This soot, this fog, clings to memories not yet passed,
The tears she cried when we found the picnic table overlooking
Superior…..calling out to the trees “we’re here honey! We came back!”
The pounding surf….the glistening rocks spoke a language she recalled,
Tired now, we slowed down to watch an old doe by the side of the road,
Watching us…..then slowly ramble on…
Slowly…..

I'Ll Never Be a Poet

You're very talented
one of the best
very few could reach your heights
me I just ramble on
‘bout my feelings and my thoughts.
I thought that’s what poetry was
but I see that I was wrong
you’ve set me straight
and your friends agree
that I will never be a poet.
Whether in verse or rhyme
no, I’ll never be a poet
at least not in your league
but we’ll carry on just the same
my thoughts my feelings and me.

St Maarten

The island is very small
With a small mountain
And a small lake
Some small towns
With small stores
Little houses with tiny balconies
And miniature beaches
Where winter and summer are blended
Exchanging their days and nights
Like the play of waves
You can ramble on it all in half a day
Only the setting sun is big
Like a giant bronze rooster
It doesn't want to leave
Even for a night
This island of only two postmen

Ramble On

If only we could see the world thru someone else's lies. Or spend fond moments in the pain that's well disguised. You understood that clearly, you didn't miss a beat, all my thoughts are jumbled round and incomplete. Can you hear what I see are you seeing anything I hear?? I know you caught a quick glimpse, I could faintly smell the fear. Everything irrelevant is amplified thru need. All of your insanity is the waste produced by greed.

In the Night

You picked a hell of a time
To come back
So why have you
Have you come to be forgiven
For what you have done
you've stolen my fun
The only thing i have
In this world
Why do you keep returning
You're the one who left
A long time ago to be exact
As a matter of fact
Stay i would love
To hear hear what you have up your glove
This time will be different
Like all the rest
I'll just sit and listen
As i always do
So ramble on
About the past that's gone

Loving You

Since i first met youi have been surprised everday. No one has respected me like
you do, you call me everyday making sure im alright. If i were to leave this earth you
would not even have words in your voice anymore. I feel when i talk to you i get
butterflies, and im speechless. I like when you just ramble on how im so special an
you can tell me everything you like about me. I have to bring you back to earth for a
few seconds to talk to you...Your amazing

All I Can Hear

all i can hear eventually fades away,
even my loss eventually fades ,
in my childhood i heard loving sounds ,
my mother in eternal love .
what we love eventually fades
but is never forgotten ,
the great blue god
sees all
knows all .
If you listen carefully he will ramble on .
golden skies and silver moons ,
are what we wait for .
The swollen goddess is eternal ,
always with child and hopeful love.
stolen glances and deep love
are what we long for .

There's the Door

I find it funny
bordering absurd
to hear people ramble on
and spill their beans

they must be all delusional
thinking they are entitled

do they really
not hear themselves

I’m absolutely delighted
to send them on their quirky
and eccentric way

I shake my head
clear the air and try hard to pretend
they were never here nor there

Woven Breaths

.........******........

we sit for hours with dawn’s traces rising and falling
how deftly lamps and whispers sustain twin hearts laughing
no need to ramble on long paraphrases ever fluttering
for if stretches of silence gather breath’s shared understanding
…it’s because we were best friends before time’s blessed awakening
