Night Wind
I will release
Words of my soul
With flair

And tinted: red--
The color of
My purple heart

Into the night
Where wind breathes
With its might

And melts
Them, in your lips
With no one

Hears us
Except, the stars
Winkling--

In agreement
With our
Silent gasp....

Calling a Woman Tart
I don't see the funny part
Of calling a woman Tart:
What you now plan to restart
And just burn a happy heart

Words of mischief stacked in cart
Had never won Purple Heart
The loosed tongue may around dart
But don't fail to smell like fart

I foresee some tomorrow
Face of repentance borrow;
The hacked heart still in sorrow:
Tina's: tears fill a barrow....

Purple Heart
Guide me to the campus of love,
a heart lost to a silent strike.
Teach me patience, I long for solace,
in hopes of tranquility as my teacher.
That if I dare fall,
cloud-like comfort will cushion me.
Welcome me back home,
tender loving care of untainted touches.
Welcome me back home,
I want to rest in the arms of my Love.

Purple Heart
They said it was for wounds received
as they pinned it to my chest,
but the wounds they couldn't see
were far worse than the rest.

They took away my childhood dreams
  of peace and harmony.
They took away my dreams of love
and made a monster out of me.

My friends all say I've changed somehow
I'm not the boy they knew.
I know they're right for that boy died
in a green hell called Pleiku....

Purple Heart
A great warrior he was at only eighteen
During a war that was overseas
Wounded in battle shot in his head
Laid there for hours he was almost dead

A Purple Heart he received for his wounds
No medal in this world could save his mind
Not even over time and In his coffin he laid
Where I placed his purple heart for the last time

Archie Bunker served in Italy during Dubya Dubya Two,

And was wounded by an enemy gun that was aimed, Oh! so true!

He won the Purple Heart and was reluctant to talk about his scar, but,

Meathead found great glee in reminding him that he was shot in the butt!

Be who we are meant to be in Him.
In Him is the fullness of Himself.
He’s purpose us for His Glory.
                     We’re His light to shine.

Through the Valley
The Last thing I built for my brother was his flag case

My brothers name is all through this book
From the battles he fought overseas
I can no longer read this book
For it brings sadness to me

The purple heart he won for his last battle in Vietnam
He took a bullet to the head and was almost dead
As the years passed by we would talk about the war
We both would cry many tears running down our face

His life was full of misery for these images he couldn’t erase...
