Wall of Glass

Longing to thrust my hand
Through this wall of glass that divides us,
I pull away; afraid the shards
Will pierce my armor.

Old Age

years pull away from
petals fragile limp dusty
which curl as they dry
aging stops all former bloom
once smelling sweet with vigor

The Push and Pull Effect.

Hurting, Crying
Your always lying

Sleeping, Dreaming
Im always hiding

Loving, Kissing
How can we still feel this.

Hating, Fighting
I need to leave you.

But I can't seem to pull away.

A short ALOFT

I see you in Albany
yet you pull away from the call
aloft to all those that care

Gone are the fields
once mellow blue
that curved and glided,
that tears at your heart

Try to dream
beneath the trees
Heed the call

You

You
are beautiful.
like the moon.
cracked and cratered.

You
life meteors.
bombard.

You
do not pull away.
from the earth.
enlightened and light.

Goodbye Kiss

So soft
I felt her brief touch of lips
It wasn't a long kiss
Just a moment in time
her lips met mine
and it felt so sensual
my knees went weak.
I would go back to that place,
the world felt great
and we had to pull away
I felt as if I was flying.

Everytime

Everytime
We get close
Everytime I feel I could love you
You pull away
I can feel it coming to an end
I can't go thro this again
We have to try to pull thro this
Everybody has hard times
We can get thro it
Everytime I care
You seem not to
Everytime

Pull Away

A women goes to work.
It’s a normal day.
I will this time get on time.
I will make sure my children come.
They won’t have to walk today.
It will be pulled wherever it goes.
There can’t be a noise.
Wake up but it will still be there.
I’d better hurry I’m getting late

Second Hand

Toxic haze curling thickly
In your lungs, my name
Exhaled, dripping in smoke.
An escape of breath, another drag.
Your lips on mine, regret,
The flavor of the night.
Smokey and bitter
And filling my lungs.
On the verge of emotion,
You pull away, eyes glazed,
My soul following, vaporous,
Thin and second hand.

Her Third Eye

My breath sharp
erratic
inhales are deep as a trench
others shatter down my throat
fractured
into broken gasps of air.
My eyes are drawn to her
like a magnet to a beam of steel
as much as I try to pull away
my gaze always slides back.
My lips are dry
imagining the sensation
of her lips
melting into mine.

Premium Member The Children Will Save the Planet

I am optimistic the children will be the ones
To save the planet
They have built wind machines
And created contraptions that
Take thousands of pounds of garbage
Out of the oceans.
I am optimistic the children will pull away
From their technologies, and save the planet
Our future hopes and dreams
Preserved

Escape

Knowing it won't go on forever
Trying to enjoy while it lasts
Reminding myself there will be an end
Feeling myself getting pulled in
Into the point of no return
From which I cannot escape
But I'm addicted to your taste
I can't pull away
Even when I know I should leave
I'm trapped in your embrace
I can't escape

Water

She was like the ocean crashing against the shore.
And of course, I was like the shore.
I knew eventually, she was going to pull away from me.
And there was absolutely nothing I could do to stop it.
It was inevitable, like the tide.
As hard as I tried, I could not hold the ocean in my hands.
And believe me, I tried.

In My Head

As we sit together staring
into each others eyes
time stands still
no one else exists
We touch each others face
I close my eyes
as I feel your touch
I smile
tears flow
I feel warm and safe
I put my lips to yours
the excitement in my heart
I can't
I can't describe
Gently I pull away
open my eyes slowly
I'm alone

Premium Member The Train

I watched the train pull away from the station
Your eyes filled with tears.
Sadness lingered in my mind
Our love had been wrong for years.
We gave each other our all
and I will always love you in a special way.
I miss you already
and part of me wishes you would stay.
So goodbye for now
Take care my friend.
This is just the beginning
Not the end.

Child Corset

Whale-bone satchel hidden underneath
The husband comes in to take the sheath
From his wife,
To pull away the knife.
Support this cradled strap
Call the cartographer for a map
To chart the followed Path,
Taken before by Plath.
Hold the chest
For this test
Of love,
Of affection
From above,
This rejection
Holds still a toy
For a boy
And twirls
For a girl.

Death

Death

I saw him, the spectre, watching, stealing my life.
His dark mouth and toothless grin, hid from all light,
while all near, withered at its feet.

And when he pointed his rasping, barbed finger at me
in the half-light; I felt its pull; its sting, its ghostly glue,
leading me to him.

Pull away? How?

When death comes your way; the journey’s just begun.

Once

Once in a lifetime we run into that person who dreams our dream

Once in a while we take the daring step towards the inevitable that has brought
us together,

Like a magnet we are drawn and we can not pull away

Once in a moment of time we walk hand in hand smiling,

Clenching on to that one moment that seems to make our wishes come true.

Once and for all I know I have found them all with you.

Robbers

The Robbers stole my life from me
one filled with pain and hate
broke down my defences
changed the hand of fate
with love and understanding
and never end of faith
never asked a question
just made me feel safe
when i tried to pull away
ashamed of what i was
just held me all the tighter
and i knew i wasn't judged
now in the light i see
the chains that bound were lies
and my Robbers truely
Angel in disguised

Pull Me Close

pull me closer, hold on real tight
don't let me just disappear into the night
if I start to pull away, pull me closer

when I'm on the edge, pull me back
when I've lost my way, gone off track
when it all seems hopeless, all seems black
if I start to pull away, pull me closer

draw the line, make it straight
keep me from making a big mistake
shine your light, show my fate
if I start to pull away, pull me closer

Like Calvin Klein

You never wear cologne to work
But there you go
Out the door
In your tie
Smelling like Calvin Klein

I want to ask, "For whom?"
But I just wave good-bye
My heart is racing
I'm afraid of
The Why

I watch you pull away
Looking for clues
A sign
I take a deep breath
Smells like Calvin Klein

deep winter

i don't think i deserve a second chance
you could pull away at my string
unravel me, make me dance
and that would be too much for this stasis of mine
frozen in different snowflakes of time
each bearing memories, asking for tithes
demanding fealty, a bended knee
lest they warrant me another execution
so ill sit, fester, let the salt enter
whilst i try to escape this wasteful brine, all of my own making
my own tithe

Once We Kiss

Dam it’s hard to pull away
Once we start to kiss
So many words a breath away
Are caught between our lips
A stream of total ecstasy
Starts pumping thru my veins
And fills me with an entity
That word’s cannot explain
If living in a fantasy
Is melting in your arms
Then my only plans to be
Within them when I’m gone
Dam it’s hard to pull away
Once we start to kiss
It takes me back to all the days
Of all the times I missed

The Sea Above - Qd

The crystal blue sky looked like the sea,
There was not a cloud in my view.
The sun was blocked by the old oak tree,
Just one of the many that had grew.

If you were there, you’d have to agree.
Yet I almost wish they were here too.
The flying tides pull away from me
The lost stress and fear I had withdrew.

Black imbues the light with nothingness.
