On a little desk   in a dusty room

Apologies to everyone I have mislead about being new to poetry. I have just remembered I got a *certificate of excellence for this poem and attended an awards ceremony** (aka *merit certificate **assembly at primary school) back in 1988. 

I don't mean to give you a fright
Please don't be scared of coming out at night

I only eat vegetables for my tea
