I prevented them blooming,

Still,

World is beautiful!...

Child Labor
A child on the street
                           Begging for something to eat

Back To: Silence
Seems that silence was a good friend.
A friend that kept close,
A friend that prevented: sound.
A friend that prevented: knowing
Silence was a good friend indeed....

Prevented and Contented
Prevented and Contented

Could hear some animals roar
Where people live who are poor;
From where will come next meal;
Not know how starvation does feel;
To them open up hearts and door.

Premium Member porch has a facelift
The porch looks great
She has had a complete face lift
The old rickety rack stuff is gone
New space opens up to a larger landscape
I am enjoying my yard for the first time
No railings, which always prevented my view.
A costly job, but well worth it....

Love is blind, but so is hate
Blind hatred of Trump sealed our fate

    Stupid masks never prevented exposure

Yet To Be
The flesh we wear today
  may often deceive our knowing
To act as if each day is unrelated
to the next will shackle us
  to the past
Exalted words
 translated from inflated minds
have prevented prosper alongside
  humility
For yesterday I was
  today I am
  and tomorrow I will be...

Strangers
There were strangers at our door
Had we wanted, we could have prevented
Madness from presenting war

But they pushed as I saw,
You did your best to stop

No illusion now my dear

They are real,
Harbouring fear.

Rest for a while

Come close
I promise in Heaven we shall hide and lock the door....

Premium Member Devotion Honored
Kneeling in prayer, the King folded his hands
  His assassination thusly prevented
Times were different then, devotion honored
~ Stabs in the back were frowned on

What Hamlet simply could not bear to do
Today (that) would feel refreshing and new
Not taking advantage of his arch-foe
~ Sheathing his dagger, away he tiptoed...

Night Creeper
Thou dost creep within the night;
Damp ground and air to aid thy flight.
The darkness keepeth thee from sight,
While on my lettuce thou dost bite
And drape with slime.

But thou hast crept too stealthily;
And was not this the death of thee?
For though it was too dark to see,
A noise could have prevented me
From crushing thee last night....

Premium Member The Bird
It woke me from my sleep today-
banging, flapping on my window.
And when I heard it, I surmised
that bird returned to try again.

Bang after bang- it would not stop-
every day, it tried and tried-
not knowing glass prevented it
from entering expanse it saw.

Wishing well
There once was a boy who fell in a well
Trying to impress the girl who was swell
He stumble and tumbled and and took a big spill
The girl didn't notice the boy screamed until
He came to the terms reality presented
As the noticed this was something he could have prevented
He called to the girl as he drifted into Hell
"Know I'm wishing you well from my wishing well"...

Sense of Dread
There is a grinding in the back of my head.

And stinging that makes me restless.

There are implications swirling rapidly.

Rumors that are thawing.

It’s all so whimsical.

And cannot be prevented, anyway.

Standing up makes me dizzy.

As does opening my eyes.

Maybe I’ll sit back down.

Sitting next to this sense of dread that whispers to me....

Premium Member Why Am I So Angry
Hey Big Government, I woke up today feeling angry,
and YOU are the reason why, thank you kindly.
All of you prevented me from flying, I couldn't see baby,
who is fighting for her life and could be taken from me unexpectedly.
All of you have no idea the monster you have released within me.
I promise, every single one of you is going to pay for this very harshly.

Threatening Desires
Ripped, tattered, uselss wings

Cravings denied, heartless beings

Happiness was finally reached

Then you take her, ecstacy leeched

Gleaming smirks now faded frowns

Two for him, one for me

Loveless hate, can't you see?

Pain prevented, if only you cared

Instead you lash out, weapons bared

Multiple lives you would of saved

If only, if only, you had stayed...

Rocks With Vision
Visionary rocks move through space unearthed
Wiped out dinosaurs within calculated boundaries
Asteroids act with immunity on the horizon
Steadfast as they enter atmospheres
Disaster is a foreign word
Sounds alone can not describe their vast intent
When impact comes again
Third rock from the sun will end
Solid objects can not be prevented
They will prevail against the drop of life...

Frosty Morning 1
Plants stiff with frost,
a solitary rose edged with delicate lace:
the night air has tightened the earth,
prevented birth,
but the sun's heat starts to melt
the shimmering specks away.

All is peaceful on the grass,
the ice is cracking on the river,
ducks swim out
to stretch their feathery bodies,
after a cold night on the river bank.

Today’s Thought By: Miracle Man 11/4/2024 Every morning just before day breaks, come thoughts, God is dispatching my way. Before the rest of the house awakes, I'm arranging my thoughts for today. Today’s Thought It's easy recalling your struggles, that to ME you are yet beholding. But you give scant thought to the struggles, that I've prevented from unfolding.

I hid in the pandemic,
although I got infected,
fearing they would laugh
at me.
For it prevented them
from performing
their swaggering
ceremonies,
functions,and parties,
and saved me
from the pain of
non-willingly following
societal norms I don't like.
I feel free and comforted
amidst the atmosphere
of simplicity,
but their egos tried
to surface
during the pandemic
as well .
