Devotion Honored

Kneeling in prayer, the King folded his hands
  His assassination thusly prevented
Times were different then, devotion honored
~ Stabs in the back were frowned on

What Hamlet simply could not bear to do
Today (that) would feel refreshing and new
Not taking advantage of his arch-foe
~ Sheathing his dagger, away he tiptoed

This is intriguing and left me thinking, had he not been praying but tying his shoes...! Good thing he was praying, God has his back :) Great write Gershon!

Yet today, we take it for granted That all of the tales are sure to be slanted And nobody yet has ever recanted No code is there to be taken for granted. Tra-lah! liz.

Gershon thank you for this clever Poetry of yours. The scene you describe is well thought of and conveyed. Your insightfulness lends a truth to discover in reading. Your ending is spectacular and brings everything into perspective. I know you have not run out of those smart pills you have. Blessings my friend...

I'm telling you Michael. There are no smart pills. The harder I try, the luckier I get. That's all I can say... Now as for your 'Comments to Die For' pills: Can you send a box over quick! Thanks, gw

I am reminded of having studied Hamlet, the most popular of Shakespeare's tragedies in my post graduate class and I recollect the scene.
