Premium Member You Can Have It

I don’t know God
I don’t see how it can happen
With my natural mind
I just pretty much give up
You can have it
It’s all yours

Lucky

There once was a cat named Lucky
Thrown from a car that was junky
With a broken jaw
And a broken paw
Now she is pretty much spunky

Premium Member She Tickles Us All

Comical, witty, humorous Bea.
Ridiculous when she comes to tea.
Wherever she goes,
Bea pretty much knows
She tickles you and she tickles me.

Premium Member I Advocate Syncretism

Syncretism is pretty much my thing.
I want unity; it is what I sing.

Harmonizing religion and races too.
If we can, will the world remain so blue?

Premium Member Virtual School Feelings

Virtual school is no school at all.
Pretty much despised by one and all.
They don’t do this work,
Participation shirk.
Hope this is over by the end of fall.

I Eat

I am what I eat — soup or spam, a hot dog, a burger or lamb. But what do I eat? I will be concrete: I eat pretty much what I am.

Premium Member Bite Size

Does size still matter? What a shame! One tiny inch, small claim to fame. My sly insight, If there’s no bite, The endgame’s pretty much the same! January 25, 2022

Premium Member You Tell Me

Words sway
have you noticed?

Life is
pretty much what you make of it

Experience
now
there's where the rainbows and butterflies dwell longside
the spit and vomit.

it's all stuff

Premium Member Just One

Just one version of the truth.
No, not a couple or few.
We learned about that
Back in Sunday school.
So, things have changed a lot
Though some are overdue.
When lies become proof
We're pretty much snafued.

Premium Member Nothing Makes Her Happy

Nothing could make my sis happy, she is a preteen.
I thought this was weird, awful and pretty much mean.
Until my own sister got to twelve and turned into a preteen.
Then I saw the devil closer than anything I’d ever seen.

Premium Member Zero Respect

I have zero respect for all politicians,
but I have even less respect for another breed of human,
and that's the mindless automatons who allow them to lead and deceive them,
which sadly appears to be pretty much everyone.

Premium Member Alien Woman Fell On the Right Date

Alien woman has fallen to earth in a surprise move.
Luckily, it is the eighties, and she gets on her groove.
Others do not notice, she fits in and is pretty much unseen.
I think that it helped a bunch that it was on Halloween.

A Little Bird Told Me Series: 19 May 2020

A little bird blabbered between ballads and beautiful bass notes:
" Before the Corona Pandemic, animals were confined and humans went where they pleased; now we pretty much go anywhere, and humans are caged inside their houses."

Premium Member I am pretty much unqualified

I am pretty much unqualified
To judge poetry contests
To draw cartoons
To paint canvases
To use a chainsaw
To write a book
Yet I do all of these things
Without certification, license or diploma
Because no one has demanded my qualifications

Premium Member What Life Sometimes Bring

Drank herself to death in the loveliest way,
Terrific mood, always ready to play.
Some stuck noses up and said unkind things.
Not understanding what life sometimes bring.
She had cancer from her head to her feet.
Her choice of death pretty much can’t be beat.

Dna Maps the Way

DNA maps the way,
there is a very vast
difference in people;
from head to knees,
from nose to toes,
from eyes to thighs,
from arms to palms,
from ears to rears;
DNA maps the way,
it's relied on in Science,
pretty much,everyday!

march - pretty much snow

                               - time to sum up the winter

                                            - slowly peeled away

Premium Member Sitting on the dock of the bay

I was sitting on the dock of the bay listening to a song
when Otis Redding happened to come walking along.
He said, "You watching the ships roll in?"
I said, "Yeah, and then watching ‘em roll away again."
He said, "That stuff's really dug by some,
but I think it’s all pretty much ho-hum."

I Am

I am a paradox.
I am faithful and yet detached.
I am committed and yet so very relaxed.
I love pretty much everyone,
And yet no one.
I am sociable but also a loner.
I am gentle and also very tough.
I am passionate but,
I can also be platonic.
I am predictable in my own unpredictable ways.

Premium Member In Honor of Weirdos

It must be said right now that being strange or weird is not a crime. Only an actual crime is the crime., and just as race, gender, religion, orientation, or nationality should not be discriminated against, pretty much neither should there be unwarranted prejudice against one with a different personality.

Appetite For Light

The light
It peeks through
The Venetian blinds
As I rise to greet the day

It pokes
As if to say
“Hey you, get up!”
With it said, I do

This sunlight
It’s a gift from
Heaven itself
Bestowed unto us

Ironically it appears
Pretty much the same time
Each day, as God opens His
Refrigerator to get a bite to eat

Give Yourself Some Time

It's ok to give yourself some time
Would you like to hear me rhyme
Hating yourself doesn't cost a dime
But it should pretty much be a crime.

It's ok to give yourself some time
Are you afraid you are going to lose your prime
Don't be, as practice can make your work sublime
You are a gem hidden inside all that grime.

Premium Member When Death Comes Creeping Through

throw my shoes away
and my panties too
no one wants them used
when death comes creeping through

throw out my furniture
but keep my dogs
the cat is gone
there are no more logs

throw out my jewelry and my clutch
it is all worthless pretty much
but don’t torch the house or TV
because this is your inheritance from me
