Appetite For Light
The light
It peeks through
The Venetian blinds
As I rise to greet the day
It pokes
As if to say
“Hey you, get up!”
With it said, I do
This sunlight
It’s a gift from
Heaven itself
Bestowed unto us
Ironically it appears
Pretty much the same time
Each day, as God opens His
Refrigerator to get a bite to eat
