In Practice - Feb 24
The present prince of Prussia prances proudly
With preaching priests, while prattling proles suppress
The primal pressure to prank the pretext
Of proper praise for the precious primate....

Premium Member Just Ask the Devil
Why is it that 'All's fair in love or war?'
Because war is hell and love's a whore?
Well, there are rules in hell
Just ask the devil
And a whore's heart's made of gold
She's on the level
So 'All's Fair' may be just a pretext
  ~ For a combatant who's oversexed...

Sam
Sam,
A man,
A good man
Is now tainted
We judge by the shallow sketches painted;

In the crimson, pallid, and cobalt dream,
The devil scheme,
A mean plan.
God bless …

A pretext.
Man is a lie.

Beware of the scribes
Who like to go around in long robes and accept greetings in the marketplaces
Seats of honor in synagogues
places of honor at banquets
They devour the houses of widows and
As a pretext
 Recite lengthy prayers
They will receive a very severe condemnation [Taken from MK 12:38-40]...

A Message To the Winter
Let winter come...!
      But let's It just come
      as a pretext...
       that my love
      wraps around me
      in a tight hug, absolute
      tight...
      That winter proposes
       all the heat we expect...
       let it be less winter
        and further spring...
        This is what I recommend
         to winter...!...

Yearning for golden days of yore-
Obstinate, omniscient,
Unruly, unabashed, and lost -
Traded for worthwhile wisdom, at a cost-
Happy-go-lucky golden days of yore.
Finding harsh trade-off foolish and unwise
Under a false pretext -
Life’s full of compromise!

Modern Age
Modern age
the scientific digital age
people full of varied interests
opposite views
strive
malcontent
force in pretext of economists
clothed in diplomacy
while a lid is kept on hell
while hell is very much alive
then people vote their hero in
with idiosyncrasy he opens the lid of hell
then hell is reborn
into doom and pain never to mention...

Premium Member Ashe's In the Wind
Sun rises in the east
and on it repeats.

Sets in the west
without pretext.

Within strands of life
served cold, or delight.

Love, war, and strain
no need to explain.

Young, strong, yet bold
worn, weak, aged old.

Through time's twisting churn
we are destined to return.

From where we began
so shall we end.

As Ashes,
In the wind....

Pretend
Lets pretend we are friends
Lets pretend you live in me
But remember we are two different entities
Who fool each other in the name of love
But then,
Lets just pretend
Perhaps the universe was projected out of pretext
Lets amaze each other with delicate touch
Hold hands together
And project a make-belief smile
And watch the universe disappearing
Lets just pretend

I give you reason to breathe
   not a pretext to seethe

I give you what to point toward
not an excuse to be bored

I give your spirit room to come alive
not an alibi for another nosedive

Without me life's a steep uphill climb
With me you're on top in no time

I am the straw that stirs the drink
I am the pen that holds the ink

Breakthough
Take a call and bring
the upside down.
The desire becomes supreme.

Are you going to redeem
for the lost empire ?
A musk deer will start

the scent-marking.
This was the price of
insecurity in the mob.

Unhook the wounds.
Life will give you
a new pretext to die.

It was an ordinary name.
No prefix and no frills.
You were ready to become anonymous.

Eye of the Storm
I was ten when Hurricane Hazel passed over our farm in the Piedmont of North Carolina with gusts exceeding 100mph. I really wanted to see that eye. On the pretext of needing to check my weather station, I waited for the wind to stop howling and rushed out the back door.

In the stillness my eyes were drawn upward.

so still
the weeping willow
straightens

Opinionated
Sometimes, people suffer
From the mistake decisions of other
Much worsen if it's the errors of leader.

Oftentimes, people mistake
In choosing their leaders is a pretext
That something is going wrong to expect.

Moreover, leaders come and go
Government remains executing law
For people who believe progress will show.

However, lover's for freedom
Should keep warning for a damn
So we can be aware that change is a humdrum....

A week ago, I was visited by woe…

As the tears runs into my eyes,
I was thinking for what are my mistakes
It is because of your pretext.
Yes, I never ask you to be perfect
All I ask is for you to be honest.

My heart seems crumpled by your hands
Because you never true to me at once!
The happiness it brings bygone,
When I came back, it was all gone!

That’s why a week ago,
I said good-bye to someone who’s being part of me so…...

COPLA 76 INVOCATION: This Bad Guy World

Is the authoritarian set up
Also the Confucian Heaven:
Prince on people

Can the rogue State cushion blow up
Under the pretext it’s Yang’s Tian:
Good Guys grumble

If the Earth sinks Heaven’ll break loose
If Tian rises through sinking Earth:
World is at peace

Can Confucian States Bad Guys disguise
Be made to hound the Good Guys’ worth
And still save face

Write
Write me with full meaning not incomplete,
Do not put me on the door of meaning
Then under the pretext explainers..
Raises a whirlwind of criticism.
Do not crowned me by poems,
Then by letters tighten me to the bed of thoughts.
Do not extracted sweet talk from my lips,
Nor liquefied musk from my neck,
Do not mobilize armies of language in my ground,
Nor warble your poems,
My doors are closed, wrapped in silence
You are too close to letters
Too distant from heart....

Goodnight
Are we sacred souls
who shed our flimsy flesh
like slimy serpents
shed their skin?
Be observant,
but show no chagrin,
for in learning life’s lessons
we lessen our scars in the next.
It’s the game master’s pretext,
yet a disaster for those
who guard their granite heart
as if, by giving love away,
they might have less.
Perhaps it is best,
to toss love about in tenfold,
for souls only glimmer,
when they reflect light.
But it is dark inside now.
So…alas …
Goodnight....

Premium Member Sunday Morning
A passing tram
and people
on Sunday morning walks
provide the pretext
of direction and give
a vague, comforting hope
that movement
has a purpose.

But the hard stuff
has a fuzzy core.
A ghostly roulette wheel
of what could be
makes the morning
ride the vagaries
of a spinning ball.

Yet all is anchored,
somehow,
to this lovely illusion
of a cafe table
on which there is
an arrangement
of perfumed flowers,
two cups of coffee,
two warm croissants
and you and me....
