Piece by piece
And blow by blow
God must know
That our broken heart's
And faltering start's
Make no sense
In the present tense.
don’t hurry today...surrender to the present tense of thanksgiving!
PD's Contest: Solitude -- Monoku or ONE LINE poem #4
Yesterday,
Today,
Tomorrow,
I love you.
Certainty, not hope,
Knowledge, not belief.
I,
You,
He, she,
We
Love, present tense.
Sure.
Listen to poem:
Stop, reflect, imbibe.
Fill the mind with diverse flood
from unencumbered
smorgasbord buffet sources.
A mindful present tense tick.
lead life with unconditional quality
not live to conjugate the future of the past
Let's try to conjugate present tense always...
as much as possible !
The key to success
Ability
Patience
Endurance
Insistence
consistence
And actions
All, but not any exceptions
In the present tense
In the continuous tense
And in the future tense
Listen to poem:
Hindsight is foresight's foe
Heralding woe betides
Halting the hoodwinking
Haunting the present tense
Hanging regrets in caches
Hype, hope dashed by failures
Holding you back, abjure!
Many are the present tense;
Mostly humbly passive glance;
Morbid finds casual stance;
Mainly passing visions glance;

Time passes,
my past time has passed,
but not totally
I came from the past
but I will board
for the future
in the present tense
where am I...
To seize the destination
lieu that God reserved me ..!
We seek a richer Metaphor,
a paragon and quintessence
of intenser, more legendary lore:—
pregnant in meaning and in present tense!
Aye! Give us, too, high suspense;
and a tale worth dying for.
Form:
I cried against myself
displeasured with my conscience hurt
and my spirit and calm in my heart
I look for the present tense I sorrow

Listen to poem:
Live as this moment
is all there is.
This is it.
Nothing happens next.
Nothing went before.
Live in the present tense.
Live for the time being,
betwixt the future and past.
Live suspended,
Live for now!
Twenty-six small swirls and sticks
Characters and lines
Making up the ABC's
Of which our tongue defines
And which am I among the lot?
Which letter would peg me?
The here and now, the present tense!
The firm and vital………..B!!!
Love,
is to love always...
in the present tense,
or absent.
Asleep, awake,
near or remote.
Primarily, conclusively,
before and posterior
and always... love,
Amen...!
ACROSTIC
JOY-
Just as acceptance happiness pure
Only always forgiving and honestly sure
You being in the present tense, mindful allowing yourself to be full of happiness no matter what

i think i
wrote
this before

rolodex suggests
something similar but
not quite
the same
but the
same
though
i want to
pen a poem
in present tense
my time has
just ended before
posting this this will be
my past
Form:
Marking time in present tense
old memories left to rust
The past a distant reverie
its truth beyond my trust
Looking straight into the sun
my eyes reopen wide
A last reflection staring back
—remembrance so divine
(Villanova Pennsylvania: September, 2018)
Losing connections one by one …
my mind has drifted back
This moment caught within a cloud
the past sharp as a tack
I reminisce in present tense
new frames of reference gone
With that most recent going dim
but still—I hear that song
(Bryn Mawr Hospital: March, 2023)
Listen to poem:
I've seen that face, I see in crowd
I know that new place, on arrival
I've felt all this familiarity
I know, I know this being
has all been there before.
Past lives, past sense,
past tense, become alive
in present tense,
evoked by the yearning
for context, meaning
in the empty void.
Astro NOT
Astro galaxies dark, deep in blacken space this universe, astro not
in the present tense, astro not
of the year 2025
Why, the sun refuse to shine, astros gone...
For the SON has come down

I am tired God
Can I say I revolted?
Revolt - present tense
I think I have earned my due
I will not do anything any more
You can do everything without me
I had it
I am taking a vacation
Permanently
There is nothing You can make me
Because You have told me so
- One of your gifts
Remember
Shake me with worry and rattle me with expectations
As you would under a tree
Rip me open to see what my shell holds
Behold, not what you expected is it?
Cry to your family and explain to them what you were hoping for
Maybe they can exchange me for something else
Or maybe you will learn to love me
My soul speaks to me
Hinting so softly;
My heart now tells me
A gut feel truly.
My mind plays trick here
Blinding ego frames;
My body seeks cheer
That I may purge blame.
My being knows more
Than my present tense;
My becoming shores
A revealing sense.

Underneath
Rock bottom
Empty bottle
full throttle
disregard
present tense
crumbling Castle
mended fence
fully engaged
Insanities remorse
Left to bleed
trial
No court
woke up
feeling grateful
poised to win
feel the Earth pull
cauddled
Complacent
pavement
Face met
not the end
try again
