Are stories
Providing many
Twists and turns
Paths and hilltops
And valleys
In searches for
Something better.....

Doctor's Orders
feeling feverish and flush
please flush the toilet again

scribbled scribe prescriptions
over the counter i don't want

to bend again so just send
me back to bed for the rest

of my life as long as my
remedy sleeps with me...

Premium Member Pills and Ills
I have prescriptions coming out of my ears,
Do I take too many,
Something I fear.
I take so many pills and potions,
Ointments and such,
I now use a walker
Why do I need this crutch?
Age has caught up with me,
I have to say.
Writing this has tired me.
I bid you all G'day....

Premium Member What About the Doctors
The internet has replaced doctors
We look up our symptoms and
order prescriptions online.
choosing to doctor ourself.
How will the doctors make a living?
How will they pay their exorbitant
insurance?
Will they have to start working
at Taco Bell like the rest of us?
A humbling thought....

Sorry I Had...
Pestering sweat rolling down my neck
Night time vision is my only set
Eeasing into the medical socks
Using prescriptions to slow my cough
Moments of fun are passing me by
Oooo how my temperture cries
Now I hope to never go through this again
I don't enjoy not having a voice
All this time wasted on being very sick

and that is why i have been gone for a while....

Premium Member Just Dropped In
I tripped on a cloud and fell-a eight miles high
I tore my mind on a jagged sky
~Mickey Newberry

compartments
          and partitions
in through daydreams
          out through nightmares
prescriptions and non
          null and into the void
of expansion
          spirit and soul
confined then not
          I talk to God
while the Devil
          is eavesdropping

I don’t know the terms so much.

They didn’t teach me, they were in such a rush.

Their prescriptions are not as powerful as the tension in this room.

As my parents are told that I am living in doom.

I am so tired, which is valid.

Because these last few weeks my mind has been tossed like a salad.

The bracelet on my wrist is very strong.

I wonder if I’ll get out by my birthday, so I can send hope through a song....

Allergy Poem
Allergy Poem

Pollen, dog hair, mold and dust.
Make my sinus raise a fuss.

Headaches, itchy eyes, histamine.
Many a season I have seen.

Cough drops, tissues, little red pills;
Drug store prescriptions, druggist fills.

Hot tea, lemon juice, local honey;
I have spent a lot of money.

Allergies can drive you wild.
I've had them since I was a child.

Someday I'll walk through Heavens door.
Then I won't have allergies anymore....

Beyond Belief- Your Tax Dollars At Work
This is too bizarre to make up, and can only be in the USA;

Social Services sent me a letter
They would stop my services unless
I sent them a copy of
the letter they sent me

Bizarre? It gets weirder.
Henceforth, my case manager
requested from them,
A copy of said letter,
So she can send it back to them

No wonder I'm crazy.

In the meantime, all service halted,
all prescriptions unfilled,
And all logic out the window.

Only in America!...

Love Hurts - the Symptoms
Thoughts displaced by rolling palpitations,
From left to right grow these numbing sensations,
A face which spirals down, drooping from smile to frown.

Time hibernates in this moment protracted,
Legs bow and shake to our drama just acted,
Senses into overdrive, does pain show you’re still alive?

Oxygen masks, Coxes’ rowing commands,
Heart beat machines is what love demands,
“You need time to relax”, prescriptions from Quacks,
Is love just a commonplace heart attack?...
