Blessed Are the Prepositions
For they shall inherit the word ;

Water down the rover.
Light under the clouds.
Rain through the evening.
Sleet across the moor....

Prepositions
Is it a 'by' or is it an 'over'
The prepositions always confuse me,
The redhead ginger that passed by me killed me,
The car that ran over me killed me....

Premium Member is my pen possessed
my pen runs across the page
dripping down verbs and adjectives
dragging prepositions and nouns along
I watch
an innocent bystander
have no idea
where all of these words are coming from
is my pen possessed?
Apparently so....

The Syntax
Coming over here
to find me, in abstract meaning ?
I was very much there in your eyes.

        *

    A ghost appears
on your lips, when you explore
    the silence of the road.

         *

     Learning the grammar
without prepositions; how will
     you reach my words.

A noun
It stands on solid ground
And may not want to fool around
With a verb who’d need to prove
That it could rouse it, make it move.
An adjective might think it best
To decorate it, get it dressed.
And prepositions, have you heard?
Connect them to another word.

Yet out of all the nouns I’ve known
Some prefer
To stand alone.

The End....

Premium Member Trixies Love of Words
Verbs almost always start my poems
Wake me up, shake me up, dance around my bed until I am up
They are frolicking, laughing, dancing
Wait! Are these the verbs or my muse Trixie?
Trixie adores verbs!
They are spinning, whirling, twirling
Jumping, leaping, flying.
I feel their frenzy.
Uh-oh, Trixie has switched to prepositions
Her second favorite kind of words
I hear around, onto, under, below and beneath...

Delicate topic here
Got prepositioned
Yeah, was online, but
An awkward position

Commenter asked me
If I needed one
Encouragement, yes,
Perhaps “poem well done?”

But then she got specific
Like “over” and “under”
My neck hairs went up
I was starting to wonder

“Above” and “below”
Heart started racing
I mean, this ain’t the verse
Told my wife I was chasing

If this stuff keeps up
May yank the subscription
Just really not into
Online prepositions...

vixen ...
it defies sense
that such fetid phrase
and coarse, careless curses
can drift so dourly from plump little bows
perfect, pouty, chili pepper lips
dripping with dangled prepositions
and dangerous propositions
so, love ... what wish?
what shiny champagne-notioned bauble
will twist that naughty purse
into a sweet, sassy ...
yes?
