Plain Brown Wrapper

If the message complex,
the delivery simple

The meaning the magic,
the words zero-sum

      Some find him vain
        others, without a brain

Plain Perception

Pictures and postures of people
And places…in my soul they settle

...inspired by the second theme of Brian's INTERVAL contest (perception)

Me, unseen by you.

X Plain

The wife was just resting her head
On the lap of embarrassed Ted
They were having fun
When he came undone
And, of course, wet clothes must be shed . . .

Premium Member Just Plain Overstressed

    When I'm cranky
      tired, curmudgeony
    just plain overstressed

Why, I do just what you'd expect ~
explode at the one I love best

Premium Member Hidden in plain sight

The first thing we see,
before beholding objects,
is the boundless womb of space.

Do we dare to leap,
in this enigmatic void,
omnipresent yet detached?

In Plain View

she stands assisted by her walker,
last in line at the Salvation Army, for others,
a way age allows her to help virile legs
handicapped by foolish pride.

Plain Computer Talk

”. Errors, error, press on “any key
Yes our minds are a clutter you see.
I told you what to do.
Now you are turning blue.
No” any key” shows itself to me.

Premium Member in plain sight

For a week he had feigned being ill
“neath a blanket of leaves he lay still
And just for effect
He shunned circumspect
Playing dead right next to the grill

Premium Member Plain and Pure

It’s plain, pure and simple, in July
We should all get hot, heavy and high.
Down dirty and tanned,
Get laid in the sand -
As summer and cloud nine sashay by.

Premium Member hidden in plain sight

the first object we see is space
holding us close in warm embrace
a truth we fail to recognise
since mind would weigh, measure and size
thus self-blocking influx of grace

Plain Serengeti

PLAIN SERENGETI

Zebra herds nudge babes along
Low slung sun burns shaded eyes
Shallow pools hide fish from hawks
          Peace of Paradise

Plain Why

Plain English or plain mortgage
The people paid money
Their money should be insured
Or the bank is always who getting
The cow and
The milk
Why they run without charges
 Always with their haul

Premium Member On the Plain In Ukraine

There's a country near Poland called Ukraine
All the people there are praying for rain
No, they don't have a drought
   And the sun's even out
It's early October ~ Snow's on the plain!

Such a Plain and Simple Shack

Such A Plain and Simple Shack

In my long life,  any love did lack;
Knew I would have to return back;
Am trying to find,
What I left behind;
Was such a plain and simple shack.

My Lady, Not Plain Nor Simple

Charms are thus...
Like the hearth ember or that of lightning bug
Elegance requiring evermore
As the sunrises forth to the mid-day sun
Compares my lady to the untamed
Wilds of a regular woman

Premium Member Truth Spoken Plain

We wait in vain
     for Truth spoken plain

   Selfish politicians, agenda-driven
     to them, our aspirations given

Above, God looks on in dismay
     Perchance to replace us someday

Country Found Plain and Pure

Country Found Plain and Pure

Country was found to be plain and pure,
Even though as much as able to endure,
Beauty found,
And all around;
For all things could come up with a cure.

In Plain Is Pain

Where do the tears
i hold back go
maybe i am drowning inside
guess the chasm
is deeper than i thought
cause the salt
is catching in my throat
couldn't feel if i could
playing a shadow
hidden by the dark
