Truth Spoken Plain

We wait in vain
     for Truth spoken plain

   Selfish politicians, agenda-driven
     to them, our aspirations given

Above, God looks on in dismay
     Perchance to replace us someday

Ha, ha. Love the rhyme in your comment... and agree with the sentiment as well. Thanks, Linda. :) gw

I've always ridiculed doomsdayers. Now I am one. Australia is probably saf-ish, unless somebody decides to use us for another offshore war. Elizabeth

Funny. Over the last year, I've become optimistic about the future. Have met so many young adults with so much energy and who are doing great things. They'll outlast all the nonsense of today, which history will 'adore' of course, just like the screwed-up sixties, culminating in 'Woodstock' -- 400 acres of mud, drugs, sex, and raucous music. Bleaaah! ~ Just talkin' 'bout my 'generation.'

I suspect this is what will happen, gw. And, if you are referring to politicians being "replaced," it cannot come too soon.

Actually, I was referring to us earthlings being replaced...

Truth here Gershon. I'm leaning towards Lopez in the Mayoral race against Lightfoot but I want to hear what Johnson has to say (I believe he will be announcing this week, the CTU just donated $350k to his campaign)

I'm leaning toward leaving the city, actually. Don't think anyone wants to pay the price for a safe, friendly city. ~ Just sayin'
