I rest peacefully
A bed made for perfection
I sleep gracefully
Holding love in my stomach
I lay infatuated

In tidy closets ~
Coats hang peacefully,
Quiet, Muffled happiness,
Beside little shoeboxes,
The cosiest of spaces.
This fish is an oscar
his name is Scurvy
he swims so peacefully
I love to watch him
cruisin in his tank so gracefully
earth tucked in warmly
fast asleep beneath white quilt -
snow float idly down

''Quiet lake, mountain retreat --sit tight for the sundown peacefully. There, presence will visit you with all its eminence.''
evening slumbers -
muted by the falling snow,
dusted in quietude,
trees slip peacefully into
the night, blanketed by snow
Love is sleeping next to death
Quietly and peacefully
Title: Love Is Sleeping Next to Death

Along its carved, storied history
Winds a river eroding with time
Leaving behind unforgotten trails
Once ago, peacefully flowing by
Please Just hold my hand
Nothing to fear if you do
For I am going
To travel in the heavens
To a place of perfect peace

I mean to breathe-
without effort,
peacefully,
naturally,
like a child-
in a strange,
dim, touching way-
to become clearer.
not
again
will I see
The Brooklyn Bridge
in silence - peacefully adorned with snow

I feel not mine pain
Until I feel thine pain
I see no gain
Until I help you again
I can't peacefully reign
Until I remove those reins
Sleeps more peacefully than the heart and the mind.
Only truly awoken by the tender touch of a lover
Unless of course by the searing pain of a love
Lost.
Rain
comes down
peacefully
lands all around
replenishes the plants, trees and sweet grass.

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who went peacefully in his sleep
and not like the passengers in his car who all died screaming horrific shrieks.
tombstones stand row in row
American flags fly peacefully among the dead
their blood was not shed in vain
they served,
they honoured,
they stood for America!
memory imagery
both boon and bane
as on one hand wisdom
and on the other, presumption
thus we release imagined knowing
and rest peacefully in the vibrant now
Your hand is that, which I hold
I lean close and kiss your head
I touch your lips, they feel so cold
A glistening tear drop I now shed
For my love is peacefully dead.
Thinking of you
something I have to say
Thinking of you
something about this relationship
Thinking of you
is why I love you
Thinking of you
is you and me peacefully
We two, hot, muggy.
Lay beneath diamond sparkles.
Wind blows gritty sand.
We snuggle on the blanket.
Peacefully, until sunrise –

Eternity Lion Looks Peacefully At the Lamb- -
bright eternity
a great, content lion looks
because of the lamb

Written words by James Edward Lee Sr.©2019
The ocean brings a lazy slumber
Coconut oil and the scent of her next to me
Seagulls sing in a faint distant orchestra
On a blanket
The sun warmly, peacefully delights me
Baby peacefully asleep,
So is new mom next to crib.
All is quiet in nursery room.
Meanwhile,
A lone black widow spider
Scurries across wall.

Experiencing life is a joy to behold
There's no greater joy, as the beauty unfolds
Do others exist
Peacefully coexist
What could be greater, the greatest ever told
Letting the sweet little baby sleep until the sunrise.
Patiently waiting for the moment I see her bright eyes.
Peacefully the sweet baby deeply sleeps and dreams throughout the night.
