Miraculous Nature
Blazing sun with horrid heat waves
Parching leaves and shallow brooks
Earth scorched like a frying pan
At once, a depression in the ocean
Cold winds, convectional rains chill weather
Miraculous nature always surprises me.

Sirocco
Listen to poem:
An ill wind blows
Straight across the land:
You can feel it now.

It’s a desert gale
That dessicates compassion;
A sandstorm
Scouring empathy from the heart.

It’s a parching blast,
A dry sirocco
That burns away kindness.

A wind that turns landscapes
Into arid civic ruin....

From Deep Charybdis Depths
old, aeolian rauks! a rugged cliffy coast...
foamy splash of the sea azure in tumult, uproarious tide!
tentacular visions i behold
  from deep Charybdis depths...

the eyestalks of giant ocean-snails
broadcast watery apocalypse
a halatinous parching of viperfish throats
murmur thick vibrations
from abyssal floor......

Dust Bowl

Dust sifted through the dry wooden slats of the now empty homes. No sunrise serenade nor rustle of flowing wheat greeted the parching sunrise. Footprints long erased, carried on the wind of arid dreams, mistakes that scarred both hearts and soil.

no sustenance here
greed’s empty bowl of dust
bent sunflowers mourn

Pour Anything Into My Jar But Your Love Song
I shall not fear of parching for your drop or two is enough
Even a tear would quench more than my lip, my soul
Cry me thrice, laugh me once
Leap more, tiptoe less
Break this earthen vessel if you wish
Just don’t leave a love song behind
For it will just maim a hollow tune
Like a broken violin in incandescent moon
Or a lone shell perpetually humming
The melody of his unmet clam or hermit....

PASSION

          Passion overflowing.
          Pearly nectar of heart
          Piercing obsessed feeling
          Pointing possessiveness.
          Pricking tangling craving.
          Persisting hankering
          Parching emotive urge.

The Question
Is there a fate, but of the grave
Where shattered lie our thousand hopes,
Or a flower's breath that wilteth not
'neath parching gaze of Day?

And, what, the eye which yet beholds
Dawn's sparkle midst the dust...

While Heaven bellows then but dirge,
And prostrate Sun lies inked by moon
Whose dark-tipped quill has stricken
Poem and song, and sweet-aired Dream
From all the heart has writ......

Dandruff
Dandruff spreads
on
my scalp
in the parching
wind
blowing from the
ocean
of thoughts. White
dust
lies scattered as the
ash
of tension. Nails
plow
the scalp. Harsh
pleasure
rises from the
furrow.
My hair loses its
vigor.
A sticking friend often
looks
for an existence.
There
is dandruff on the
scalp
of the world too.
Hairs
fall down dead. A
new
face grows above
corpses....

Premium Member Streams In the Desert
It’s hit or miss, or so it seems:
a stroll beside well-watered streams,
then all about, a parching drought.
Some days, cavorting in the sun;
on others, nary see a one,
producing doubt when they’ll be out.
But when it seems that things are worse,
sunlight breaks through, the clouds disperse,
and tender verses start to sprout.

Summer Rain
Sounds of tiny tap dancers atop my tin roof.
Umbrellas and goloshes cast aside.
More tempting to children than candy or ice cream;
Mud puddles to splash in have arrived.
Earthlings so grateful, a powerful thirst had begun.
Relief from a long, parching summer sun.

Run-offs to falling ponds, giving to rise;
Aquatic creatures there sing to the skies.
Ignighting our senses when a whiff is obtained;
Nothing like the smell of a fresh summer rain....

Last Wish
To sift is my endeavor, lest I fail
to bring to harmony and to avail
the roads I've traveled on to sweet commune
the sun to blow a kiss to reach the moon
the trees to rain down water from their leaves
to end the parching season of the seas
where salt in rings has settled sugar white
and mad mirages flood the settled sight
To sift my thoughts, I'm sure you will agree
is of the utmost pertinence to me
To wrap the package up in memories
and gently set their sail upon the seas....
