Today you could stand on a parapet, and throw
out rolls of toilet paper to the delight of the crowd,
like snow from the heavens — white gold.

Cracks
The cracks on the
parapet
have widened for the
peepal
to stay green for
once
rains too want us to
drench
our heads and feel
one
with cool wind
in a dark corner
shed fears and enjoy
love...

Keep Your Head
Keep your head above the parapet,
and don't forget it's a bright morning.
If the day should turn out wet,
don't take it as another warning.

Remember what your mother told you:
"Clear your head and wipe your nose...
Nothing matters in this life
but the simple need to change your clothes."...

Premium Member From A Lump Of Wet Clay To Sacred Fire

From her sacred heart blooms a flowered essence anointed in sapience and love ; Insightful, as the rain from God's parapet this cloistered soul rings true only for the Maker's open hand. Touched by His Grace, he has created "The Mystic " in her, from a lump of wet clay to Sacred fire.

The Parapet
© 2013 (Jim Sularz)

Let me muse a bit,
below the parapet.
And bask awhile,
in the sun and grit.

That I should kill,
or be killed instead?
Come my battle cry . . .
“Fix bayonets!”

. . . Dare I charge headlong,
beyond this pit?
Through war’s slaughterhouse,
past the blood and spit.

Do as I’m told,
without regret?
As I plunge over . . .
my epitaph....

The Risen Parapet
And the generalists knew one better
preaching to the converted
They have risen above their parapet
Industrious said the observer
as the moon made a foray
anywhere else

Have you seen the sun rise
Repeating in its perpetuality
Then blow the burgles
for news to come back in my time,
eavesdropping like elf's ears
as the specialists made their first foray
under dawns reign...

TOWER

Tall tower tempting to touch torn clouds.
Obstinate overconfident, overwhelmed on own structure.
Wonderful high rise offering warm wishes to sky.
Erecting arrogant head entertaining eagle to perch on parapet.
Rooftop feels proud of height, casting pitiful glances on ground.

A Kings' Eagle
A day so calm
The great expanse
Of sky
Of blue

The King stood on the parapet
Surveying the great expanse
Of sky
Of blue

A hand outstretched
In to the blue
The swish of feathers
Form a Shadowfire Eagle
Could be heard
As he circled the King

The soul knew
Of feathers
Of sky
Of blue

A Kings’ Eagle
Flew
Feathers alight
With gold from the sun

Circling high
An Eagle at one
With a King
In a sky
Of blue...

Love Is Signed To Lies
Awake from a slumber
Raise head above parapet.
You then stand stock-still, a sad
Sorry being.

Live your days
And soon months as a shadow.
An unreachable figure.

Why speak? You're not profound
Do not dream as a Rimbaud,
Or long for a Verlaine.
It's the ending you fear.

That time passed speaks off a yearning
And wallowed in romance. Love becomes
A strange thing that twists and cuts.

For what we call love
Is but the shudder of lust
On any youth's shoulder....

To Let a Star Go
When a star is ready
It is filled with love and magic
When a star must go
For, its' journey is about to begin
It must be released
From the highest parapet
So that others can see its' glow

To rise slowly
In a Western sky
Glitter bright
For, we never die
We are nothing but light

In a room full of stars
The love you have inside
Your light too
Is placed in a star
By a Princess
When a star is ready
It will climb high
The light filling the sky
Capturing the magic
Of you....
