A Kings' Eagle

A day so calm
The great expanse
Of sky
Of blue

The King stood on the parapet
Surveying the great expanse
Of sky
Of blue

A hand outstretched
In to the blue
The swish of feathers
Form a Shadowfire Eagle
Could be heard
As he circled the King

The soul knew
Of feathers
Of sky
Of blue

A Kings’ Eagle
Flew
Feathers alight
With gold from the sun

Circling high
An Eagle at one
With a King
In a sky
Of blue
