locusts to harvest the ripe crops
trusted rats to store the harvests
butterflies to oversee activities

Every creature was industrious
but an enemy appeared suddenly
hurricane came from the high seas
scorpions and all were swept away

Farmer trusted powers he planted
but everything got swept with him...

full of delightful creatures
I never know who is hiding in the tree line
we are surrounded by life
the middle meadow features tiny daisies
wild strawberries, clover and dandelions
a few stalks of Queen Anne’s lace oversee them
red mushrooms are small enough to delight the fey
verdent fern and moss grow around my oaks and walnuts
crepe myrtle thinks about blooming in lavender hues
in the evening we have tiny kamikaze lightning bugs
