Premium Member Ornament On the Headstone

Stoic and proud the eagle sat
On one of a thousand graves
Punctuation for the epitaphs
Of the proud, courageous and brave
Who died so our freedom was saved

Ornament of Love

Maybe it's me,
But my pages are flipping
Towards the end of my story book
And a new one is about to open
With hands drawn in pair
With bracelet around it both.

Ornament Memories

I love decorating the Christmas tree
And lingering in ornament memories
A snowman I made
Back in 2nd grade
Reminds me of childhood glee and snow dreams

God His Son Has Sent

God His Son Has Sent

God to us one day His Son He had sent;
In our lives is an outstanding ornament;
Hang from tree,
So we can see;
Now we know what saving souls meant.

Changed

Silence has become my music
With a static dance around mystery
As silver lining was replace by ashes
Blue sky wear rainbow
Ornament of man made beauty
My sight caught a former melanin dark

Sentimental You

< amidst flocked needles ...
                                        woven ornament strewn ...
                                               a star is ... born

Precious Gems

Gems when polished
Gives you treasure
You don't expect.

Gems stone weight
As ornament
In jewelries.

Gems adorn girls
Shining, blooming
Precious like gold.

Gems are jewels
Hid as heirloom
In treasure box.

Don'T Be Child Forever

INNOCENCE
ornament of the child !

the CHILD lives
in no sense!

don't be CHILD
forever!

wherever love
come, live and do
whatever fair!

child needs sense
let them grow in power
with the humane care

Premium Member A Broken Ornament How I fixed It

An ornament fell
Quickly to the floor
An angel object
She holds a lantern
Held held high in her hand
When the angel fell

The lantern came off
When the angel fell
I grabbed the scotch tape
Now the angel fixed
She is good as new

Dazzling is moonlight
transcending glimmering stars

Premium Member A Christmas Ornament For Spence

I bought a pickle ornament for Spence.

The boy just loves his pickles, makes no sense.

So with this glass dill pickle

His spirits I will tickle.

Hope this is among his best ornaments.

Premium Member Our Christmas Angel

Through the holidays
a gift from Grandma
holds a place of honour
on our Christmas tree
It's no ordinary ornament...

We're convinced that in our sleep
it comes to life
spreads peace

while keeping our home safe

In Search of Words

I lack words to enjoin in spring
Torpid I fall for Winter's listlessness
like a dusty ornament
I cannot break for freedoms
gust of purification
I long for a valley
its silence an agreement
searching for serenity
of a poet's consciousness
to stay verte
to dream in words
