Heaven Sent

There was once an old girl called Flo
On her death asked to go below.
See, she had this trick,
To try to convert old Nick,
But he told her where to go!

Good Old Nick

I saw him stagger then fall to the ground
his roars of laughter in sensurround
he sprung up quick
good old Nick
then smiling, walked away without a sound.

Praisin' Kringle

Praisin' Kringle,
jolly old Nick--
for last year's
Christmas
found smashed gifts.

Cause pop-pop
suspects,
dad's stuck again--
inside our
sooty chimney.

Chez Old Nick

The flaming pyre
And tortured screams;
Regrets and curses
And broken dreams.

The piles of gold,
With fags* and booze;
The lust and orgies:
So much to choose…

*cigarettes

Subtle Airs

whispering of winds
sibilant, susurrations
inspiring insights

braggart's boring boasts
haughty, howlingly hollow
a wisp and a whiff

tintinnabulum
continuously caressed
potent priapic

wet and wheezy whine
old nick now is not so nice
whispering wraiths wait
Form: Haiku

I made a bargain at the crossroads
With that conman we all know.
He might think he’s sealed the deal,
But he’ll never get to spirit me below.
For when he comes to claim his prize
At the fading of the final light,
He’ll find a book of poems
Where my soul used to be,
And I’d made no deal
To sell the copyright.

Christmas Carol

Christmas Carol's
On the streets again
Turning tricks
While the clock ticks
Towards the saviour's day

No seat by the fire,
No pies and mulled wine
She pulls up her knickers
And steps back in line

A fat man arrives
To empty his sacks
But this sadistic 60-year-old
Is no Santa Claus

He's Old Nick instead
And Carol gets
One hell of a beating
As her festive gift

Premium Member Halloween Hell

The Halloween party needed a scare
Someone said the ouija board for a dare
But bad spirits came knocking
Their foul language was shocking
And caused many to soil their underwear...

The putrid air now turned rancid and thick
And to smash it you'd have needed a brick
Then they all started leaving
As they left they were heaving
And on the rooftop laughing was Old Nick...

Simple Prayer

A SIMPLE PRAYER
grant this Lord i pray
draw your sword without delay.
slay
fatal flaws of my ways
of deed, thought, every case
that may set Your wrath ablaze
old nick is up to tricks
of his iron bars turn to rust
of his laterite bricks grind to
dust
of his wooden buildups burn to
ash
o Lord, i implore, wash
to white my stained gown
in Your mercy let Your rain
down
to nourish my heart — i seek
Your face—
with love, pardon, and
abundant grace

GOUT

Look out!
Old Nick Rich lurks about in punishing mood
He’s gout

His evil acids plunge, swirl around
He’ll diabolize thy favorite dish
Send it sweetly, heartily down

Then twirl his fork at your pitiful cries –
Those sudden, repeated jabs
Intense red pain, complete surprise

At long, long last gout may subside
But watch your diet
He’s still inside

Oh never think you’ve got it made
Nick never sleeps, knows all you eat
This Mephistophelean shade
