She is whipping winds.
Salt,
washing over my hair, eyes, skin.
Numbingly cold waters,
as if just unfrozen,
spilling into, refreshing
the Bay.
She hosts,
An eroded map
Of webbed and pebbled paths.
Barnacle scattered
grit.
Rolling fields of green low tides.
A fisherman’s daydream.
A meeting
Of core and sun.
She is
an awakening,
a renewal,
a provocation of adventure....

I feel it.
I felt it.
Numbingly so.
I dealt with it.
It eats me a live
like lions eat their prey.
Tearing and stretching
my insides everyday.
Of course I feel bad.
I refuse to allow this
to compromise
the heart that fills me up.
I refuse to give her up.
I won't let it take control of me.
Although it threatens to
splash all over me.
I am drown in my guilt.
