to watch the sparkle lights

Beast
She is the fountain of lust and of love
She bathes me in the most potent sea,
Opens her butterfly thighs
Wraps murals of flesh around me
I am her prisoner and her predator
She summons
She tames
The beast in me

The Murals Heart
Red streaks run across the locked canvas.
Tears of anguish widen and elongate both vertical
          and horizontal lines.
Is it the lives spilled out on city streets?
Green blades of eternal renewal is the painters last
           stroke....

The Mayor of Los Angeles, what a mensch!
Helping the homeless in LA, buy placing
art murals right next to their tents.

Are they to cook them for breakfast, lunch
or dinner, perchance?

Proof that some politicians are morons
and obnoxiously, dense!

The second I stepped inside I knew
I had found an artist’s house by every hue
The murals were most everywhere.
Up and down, on windows, walls and stair.

I love this place! I said to everyone I met.
Have not found another one as beautiful yet.
To visit an artist’s house is a joy for me.
I felt like I was in heaven, as you can see....

Out of sanctuary.

Into the wild.

Down..

Down..

Down..

Into exotic exile.

Immoral creatures.

Adorned satyr-like features.

In the muted night air.

Where murals stood to lionize the affair.

I awoke.

Confused.

Swimming.

Through the dark morass.

Slipping back into your fusion.

As flawed hearts seek union....

I Love a Stranger.
My love
jouncing blood through me
like fireworks
and my stolid hands
caressing forth murals
painted over
these colors, yours to bear
in the darkest habitations
of cavern and canopy

This earth, a mother once
blindfolded, now mirthfully
shoulders our instigations
This earth, a child with no
dreams of aversion,
covets to understand you
and I as one story....

Nice
She says nice
But I know better;
Like ice sculptors
I shape words
Out of the rough
Like out of the blue
From me to her;
Watch it all
Take form
Right before
Her very eyes;
Like sandcastles
And graffiti murals,
But unlike those,
My art will never melt,
Will never fade,
Will never get washed
Away with the next tide
If this was a pen
It would glide on paper
Smooth like
The curves on her......

The sky invites us openly to dance around the rim of daily grinds
if only we would listen,
the clouds implore us earnestly to weep when sorrow calls but sadly we are deaf, the sea, it opens up its gallery of ocean murals, salted fables, naval yarns, dawn to dusk,
if only we, the Royal We, would use those faculties that Mother Nature gifted us...

The End
Lines on forehead are deepening.
No signs of abatement
of fire in our bellies.

The hunger we inherited
is only comforting
the mouthless.

Broken laughs.
Strange bedfellows
chopping off the murals from the lips.

A body rots,
stinks.
Maggots fly.

Negotiations are still on.
Who will dissect the legend
to find the cause of death?

Like a clay model, a soldier breaks.

Trailing War
In search of peace
the free hand was inflicting casualities.
The kids were buried like insects in a rubble.

Step by step in speculation
the streets were livid with rustic murals
of splintered blood on walls.

The foxgloves had lobbed rockets
on tall heads. Beleaguered
eyes nailed to fire.

I am watching you my art,
to witness the agony of man.
Burn, burn my cupped hands with snatched words.

Mementos
A grey movie playing with quicksilver moments create murals of memories. Strolling a beach arm in arm, did the wind blow away something ? Sands of time slipped beyond grasp, but never stopped. Wounds healed, scars never faded though.

mosaic pieces
love bathed in mist and shadow
hide your mementos

Back when pots were freshly stewing;
Hoping for a beggars feast at a place we all were viewing.
Fairytales with lovers leap a woman’s flowing hair
Flowers written for a love asking love me if you dare.
We gave our words and pledged our heart’s;
We cried for those who hid behind the hedge.
We built ourselves a special place with murals in the park;
And I will always know this place it’s a road that’s cut and marked...

Muses murals, painted on the walls of my mind-corridors, inspire. It is her canvas, her personal museum; an expanse of illustrated adventures, thoughts, feelings, ideas and emotions, all in the catalogue of my mind. She never rests, it seems; she channels unceasingly; creations from the Source of all things. Her work is her paradise; to me, it’s the nourishment I continually crave.
