Rattler In a Good Mood

Rondezvous with death
You hear the rattle warning
Move back so slowly
One strike, no getting away-
Snake chose to be nice today.

Move Back To a Time

Move back to a time
When things existed
And color mattered
No more black and white
For these eyes
Have seen too much
Of ambition lost
And time done
For crimes committed
Against the self
For someone else

The Truth of Your Heart

What is the truth of the human heart?
Is the heart like a black veil?
For one can not see what it hides
nor what truth lies
at the very bottom of its core
What story does it bore?
For if I could move back the vail
what would your heart tell?

my puppy watches me write

dog sits on couch
watching my pencil move back and forth
what is he thinking?
He stares at me with heavy black eyes

is it an accusation?
Is it a love look?
I dare not make eye contact a second time

As soon as I do he will be in this recliner
licking my ear
with his quick silver tail flipping me in the eyes

I'Ve Tried

I've tried to be a smart boy,
but I've failed.

I've tried to be a hero,
but I am a loser.

I've tried to stop drinking,
but I can't.

I've tried to forget the history,
but it can't move back.

I've tried to be the best,
but it was not enough.

I've tried a lot,
but nothing I've won.

I've tried with all my power
nut at least I've tried.

Mischief Lives Here

There once was a mischievous elf
Who lived among books on my shelf
Forever up to his antics
One day hid my antibiotics
That’s when I convinced him to move back to Guelph

Reminiscences

Counting the stars in the night sky,
aiming at heart to fly high,
different stages worth remembrance,
a flattering moment or a nuisance.

When grown old and white,
when eyes lack much light,
you will see with your soul,
every fixed and unfulfilled goal.

Move back to the time,
of sour grapes and sweet lime!
Memories never let go,
they will always flow...

garbage can bandit

I sit on your garbage can and fiddle with a knob
Your back door shakes a bit, I search for a corn cob
Smash goes the lid to your aluminum garbage can
I am the man, I think now, I am the man!
You are in your kitchen, terrified to see that knob
Slowly move back and forth; my cousin has the corn cob
Fighting ensues, we slap each other and screech
You call the cops. They send out Officer Leech.

Let Love Lead

I know you have ears,
Listen before you end up in tears,
Hatred is cancerous,
Segregation is dangerous.

No need to murder a brother,
Born by a mother,
We all belong to tribes,
We can live in unity and thrive.

Tribalism promotes nepotism,
It fosters Satanism,
Again, favoritism is evil,
A monster making us uncivil.

Our skin is black,
Africans don’t move back,
Let love lead,
This I plead.

Window Frame

Stand nearby the window frame
We can see many things we aim
Let’s move back two steps
Views will appear in different concepts

Window frame fit our vision
Limit our complete attention
Wide frames provide more details
Narrow ones put our eyes in jail

Our idea and opinion
Depend on our frame of vision
Make it large to see all creations
Build it huge to consider mankind
Help ourselves to frame our mind

House To Let

Listen to poem:
"Can you feel the soul of an abandoned house; can you hear the whispering?" - Quote by Constance La France

A house without a mouse or spouse
tends to babble on a bit, to itself,
whispering wanton murmurs,
meows and purrs,
as it hums and winds away
the bore-some, dreary hours
waiting for someone,
anyone, anything,
or any being really, real or unreal,
to move back in,
baring mice
of course.

Breaking Out

Why do I keep going back to the past?
I thought all of my fears had been cast.
I think too much
about life and such.

My desires and fears are holding me back.
I feel like my head is going to crack.
Why don't I just move ahead?
Cause I'm petrified and move back instead.

Too much thinking makes me go crazy.
My head is getting a little hazy.
I need to move past this stage.
I want to break out of this cage.

Nothing New Under the Sun

Lack of sun, we bought a house in the West
The sun liked us very much
Outside the house, grew plants

The garden East of the house is verdant
The North and South are so-so
The West, the dirt is brown

We thought to grow a garden over there
The seeds refused to open
The sun had scolded them

We dug an open well to persuade them
The sun scolded the well too
Today we move back East

You Text Me

You text me today
Saying you wanted me back
I text you back
Saying your to late
That I done decide to move back home
It's like you expect me to forgive you
after you rip my heart out
I'm sorry
You do not get a second chance
To hurt me again
Sorry
I can't forget things you've done to me
You lied
You cheated
You toyed with my heart
After I gave my self to you
The best you can do
Is leave me alone
So I can pick up the pieces of my broken heart.

Single Mingle

That beauty did suit me
then she refused me
went and removed me
now I'm stuck moody.

What should I do next
I can't ring or text
this so unexpected
again I've wrecked it.

no beauty will choose me
no cutie will amuse me
they all just excuse me
the excuse them, not me.

It's just how it happens
at first I attracts them
one better distracts them
in line I move back one.

no one respects me
I wish they'd select me
someone elect me
you'll like the erect me.

My Love!!!!!!

Beautiful you are,
But away so far,
I can't see you, how you look,
Only in the school's yearbook.
How much long I have to wait,
When you'll move back to Northgate,
Oh my love I missed you much,
Can't forget your gentle touch.
Very pretty are your eyes,
Thats when I did realize,
When the first time I saw you,
Over by the store that's new.
However, now i wait this time,
When you'll come through the airplane line,
Oh how happy we will be,
That at last we are together!

NATURALLY AS IT IS

Drawing a face
It is like assigning the pieces
Into one
Modifying a drawing
It is like uttering the sequence
Into words
A mystery,

Birds always make a sound
But what sound are they making?
Interesting as it I'd
Waves always move back and fourth
But what movement are they showing?
Amazing as it is
A landing,

Writing on a paper
It is like putting an ink between the lines
To make sense
Singing a song
It is like swallowing the words
To make vocals
A mystery
