I'm sunbird of the sketched skyline,
Soaring across soft sheaths
Of ebony moonflowers,
Inhaling gossamer death, tonight.

A Little Grey Dog

I saw him from a distance,
Melancholic little soul,
Sad petit cute face,
Lost soulful dog,
With eyes so ephemeral so real.

April

Melancholic skies

Skilled at hiding mournful eyes

Cry tears of April.

from desperation's clutches we rose
like a phoenix on blessed wing
free from restless melancholic woes
with clarity our passions sing

The Return of Harmony

Nature has put on her fllamboyant
dress of white and pink flowers
that spread a delicate scent
to liven up melancholic eyes.

The Nigerian Dream 4

Effortless and fair elections
Freedom of speech and after speech
Absent of melancholic on our faces
Our lives larger than live itself
Every Nigerian life count

Larry the lamb loved to frolic,
While the others were quite melancholic,
He would stagger and amble,
Then leap up and gambol,
Like a totally smashed alcoholic!

Through all the years of these elemental seasons changing,
I've thought about all of the reasons why life can be depressing,
As well as why all these memories trespass my every feeling.

Angelic

Tell Heaven all angels should have harps,
with which their melancholic voices can resound.
As they sit there in Paradise,
admiring the view whilst enjoying perfection
and idilic after-life.

Regiments of Love

broken twigs of passion
melancholic summer
we spread under
coconut palms
whispering
cotton caress
nipples like grapes
black currents
smell of the lake
turgid stems opening
regiments of love

Undertaker

At the corner of my eyes,
Tears subside, left from the high,
Fueled by melancholic memories;
No time for goodbyes,
Likewise---forever they lie,
For the final rite, let me bury.

Evenly She Sighs

The heart in wonder wanders past the day of light
clinging to the moon she harvests her own bright
and as the melancholic trees wave fast goodbyes
the soul accepts dismantles as evenly, she sighs.

Devotion in doubt

Is my sorrow real?
Were we doomed…

I’ll be damned
if the questioning is my devotion.

Though I never deviated,
love only takes one of us.

Love or lust…
laughter, lies we shared

Was I wrong?

Premium Member Nostalgia

A melancholic longing for times gone A resounding echo that is calling A mirage of the desert That eludes the riders of the caravan And excites the loner like an oasis in wilderness
Form: Verse

Premium Member Piano Fantasy

A piano is heard in the hall
With melancholic notes that sound
As a farewell to two souls
That decided to take
Different paths when
Realized that
Fantasy
Was the
Rule

The Hidden In Him

The melancholic frown hides under his beautiful smiles
Beneath his happy laughter lies a crytic crying
In his eyes, the dancing stars covers the tears that rained
His gloomy skies to shield, a joyous mask he wore

What A Contrast Of Tears!

With an eye as bright
Spills o'er with delight
Child's general, greeting day
Joy-wept, dear, now you.

Up out a heart chilled
Melancholic filled
Years, sleet-like, world, whose lone gaze
Less pleased then dropped through.

My Heart

My heart jumped out of my chest
It skipped and ran towards you
It started beating faster
It started smiling more
Until my heart stopped running
My heart got melancholic
Then it stopped moving
My heart has never moved again

Raining Words

As words begin to rain,
my sleep's in ruin.
my cries reach none,
In my darkest hour,
when I am the only one.
I reek of misery,
as I drown in my melancholic song.
Ineffable is my sadness,
yet I somehow manage a Chaplin's laugh.

Death

Wondered sky tied up
the death at last,
the murmur of rain has stopped
and dim light of a melancholic star
touched me and became gradually monotonous with sadness.
The unfinished poem therefore melts in the dew
and covered the horizon.
