Squirrel Karma
Bury your gems,
Hide your wealth,
Across the commonwealth,
Map out your co-conspirators,
And paintings on the walls,
Speak to each one,
About what is going on....

his fingers map out subtle areas all over-- my belly button no exception, impious outlines, his goal to stir me…

scars
my scars have faded.

i still remember where they were.

i could map out every blemish and imperfection on my body.

you used to kiss them and tell me i was perfect.

but now that they have disappeared, what is there for you to kiss?

Premium Member Paraphrasing Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Whatever course you decide upon
there will always be someone to tell you that you're wrong.
There will always be difficulties arising which
will tempt you to believe that your critics are correct.
To map out a course of action and follow it to an end
requires a great deal of courage my friend."...

Premium Member As Poets
As poets we map out our lives
For the entire world to see
I do believe the reason why
It's our words that set us free

As I read other poets words
It's very clear to me
There are many hearts on earth
As beautiful as can be

So as we face another trial
And overcome another test
By the Blood of the Lamb
Lets give the world our best...

Cross-Cultural
people are like rubiks cubes
colored parts that rotate
and fit neatly into slots
and people are like oceans
with pieces floating on the surface
and dark mysterious waters below,
never seen by the human eye

and people are like people.
with variables too numerous to quantify
or map out on any spectrum
or allude to with words.

my intentions were clear
but only if you were speaking my language....

The Delivery
Up I looked into the pregnant sky,
and she delivered to me
existence.

It seeped into my scalp,
darkening the clustered follicles.
It danced down the deep curvatures of my neck,
discovering the virgin forests of my skin.
Through my pores, the dirt, the sweat,
it made a map out of me.

And yet,
and yet, I cannot read-
cannot follow evaporating squiggles-
Fate's writhing pen in the form of rain....

Trailblazers' Blood
Rare are those among us
who gain wisdom
without errors,

without overstepping a line
we are not allowed
to go beyond,

without daring to be different
from what we are
supposed be.

Yet, they're the ones who do
the perilous trailblazing
for all of us,

who map out the constraints
that we can outgrow and
must overcome,

who, in the frenzy of finding out
what's beyond, must draw
the first blood!...

Pathfinders' Blood
Rare are those among us who can learn
        without committing errors,
without daring to become a bit more
than we are allowed to be,
without overstepping a line we are prohibited
        from going beyond.

But they're the ones who do the perilous
        trailblazing for most of us,
who map out the obstacles we can outgrow
        and must overcome,
who, in the frenzy of finding what's beyond,
        must draw the first blood!...

Cocoon
Moist cocoon, most horrid home
What are these paintings for?
To fill, with glee, a shutters frame?
Or anchor awkward eye?
Those thick black strokes, do they pull upon,
All oceans breaking bread?
Or map out planets, which swivel around
A strolling dullards head?

Infra dig, moist cocoon
I’m burning down this dream
Mongo rides in the silent numbers
Reporters shake with mean
Infra dig, moist cocoon
Tearing postal seem
How we start, is how we end
The distal draft, redeem...
