Premium Member Frustrating Existence

The most frustrating part of my life's existence
is seeing all of the wrongs in this world
and knowing that I can't make a difference.

That Woman

Her heart a fortress
Her mind untamed
Immune to hypnosis
By roses and compliments
A thousand lovely sonnets
Wouldn’t make a difference

The Tribunal

nothing i do
make a difference
it only makes an issue

for better or for worse
life goes on
loving its own

accepting, rejecting
status quo

Big Favor

Scratched my head,
Must allow
Preeminent
To write.
Why nuisance the world?
I’ll go to sleep
Get it right
Good night
Make a difference
Then awaken.

Kindness

Kindness
feels like
a genuine smile
it can make a difference
someone else needs it
pass it on when
you have it.
or fake it until
it feels real–
Kindness.

Around the Fire

Three men standing bearded and beer bellied around a fire
Repeat the same phrases regarding politics and morals
Think they make a difference preaching to the choir

Premium Member Does It Make a Difference?

Now that election results are in
Did anyone you voted for win?
Why does it matter ?
Asked the Mad Hatter..
Provocateurs they have all been...

My Goal....

as i live each day
may i do my part
to make a difference.
touch one's heart
reach out for a hand
lend a shoulder.
each day it is my goal
to bring a smile into a soul.....

Heartache
Mistake
Awake
Don't be fake...
Life is at stake.

Make a difference,

Premium Member Jesus Was the Difference

We have all,
at one time or another,
been guilty of making the statement.
"I'm only one person, what can I do?"
Each time you think one person
can't make a difference,
think of Calvary.

A Bullet

It goes right through my heart
A layer by layer
A granule by granule
The glass shatters
Making it impervious to life
And stopped without a beat
How a word can make a difference
And lay one dead.

Vote (By Kimmy Holmes, My Daughter)

I will vote
who shall it be?
Who will make a difference to me?
For my country
I gave a few years
Not my life
Now my tears
My soldiers, they deserve
my thoughts and prayers
I will vote
and hope not to error.

Open your eyes.
Open your ears.
Try for just tomorrow to set aside
the prejudices you don't believe you have.

99% is a big number
Consensus is a neat process
It takes ALL of us being awake and active
to make a difference.

Needle In the Hay

I am a needle in the hay
Can anyone find me?
They get so close then move away.

I want to matter, to make a difference
But I am simply one among many.
I want to stand out and be heard

But I'm just a lonesome
Needle in the Hay

Life Truly Lived

Live
each day
believing
your presence makes
a difference. Each
small action cruel or
kind defines character, charts
a legacy. Scatter seeds of
hope and kindness. Sound the trumpet of
gentle words. Know you make a difference!

Rotting World

This world can be rotten.
Maybe you have forgotten?
Humans can be so ignorant.
Most can be so belligerent.

So why keep it the same?
Stand up to make a change.
Why live in this disintegrating land?
Make a difference with your own hand.

Anything Possible

Sitting in the morning hours
Thinking of your almighty 'powers'
Lord you are the ONE who can really make a difference
Without any preference
What You want will happen
You'll touch our hearts
Prepare the way
For us to do your work to stay.
