my main remedy is you in many a volume
you cure me of the sharp edges of my center in every column
when the sport of existence is hard to maintain
you form a unit with me so we can become one sane brain
To Thee, with all my heart I pray, my Lord, an enormous favor to ask
Let us on earh, the common good to seek - make it be- our main task!

Upcountry thunder
turns the plain milled storefronts
to shades of muscat-grape
and citron, dusky rose.
Pavement ripples with reflections
never thought before,
as clouds pass
dark as bedrock, molten
at the core.
When will I reach the main event?
I’m tired of dainty canapés
I’ve had too many hors d'oeuvres
They are getting on my nerves
When will I reach the Entrée?
When will I meet the one I seek?
My life long dining companion
Form:
What is Phat Tuesday?
And Why does it make
some people mad?
Phat Tuesday or Fat Tuesday?
Still the singer sang
the music arranged in such
a soothing harmony
Still the Singer sang
the music played
the music played
The way I feel when you touch me, I just cant explain
I start to feel all crazy, and cant think right in the brain
never would I ever complain
I hope this feeling will always remain the same
So you can forever be my main
Form:
Like a buccaneer
Sailing the Spanish main
The vivacious creature
Swept into my life
And like a pirate
Went for my treasure trove
Pillaging my heart
And stealing it away
Leaving my soul in chains
And my coffers empty

Subtle tee preferred the company of those in sweet repose
His presence needless to say, an easiness would impose
We tried to engage him but this seemed to enrage him
So we settled for making him the subject of this prose.
Looking at my reflection
In a pool of water,
my face appeared oblong
as the quivering breeze
created ripples across the surface,
for a moment as I pondered
I spy a glimpse of the future,
looking up at me!

Tenth Place Win
Contest by Andrea
The only tight hug she has ever had
Was from her tight silky thongs
Grasping for air, the elastic waist squeeze
The air right out of her lungs
Don’t worry, do not get upset
One size fit all….is politically incorrect.
Indifferent and unresponsive:
Snap goes the bride neck.
my plane crashed
on my way to see
my crush so now
on a desert isle i
'm sharpening a
stick into a spear
for though a veg
etarian i wouldn't
dare eat a berry or
any greens knowing
nothing about local
things but damn well
know what a wild pig
would taste like cook
ed over a fire on a spit
Form:
Take a good look at the man in the moon
He's such a hunk that the girls there all swoon --
His butt made of cheese
They just love to squeeze --
Until they find that inside there's a prune

A shootout on Main Street at high noon, Buck
Bring your rusty six-shooter -- lots of luck!
You’ll need it, you see,
When up against me
Nobody survives calling me a schmuck!

A-im to strengthen the day;
I-t's a beautiful dawn, after the dusk fades away.
A-s the sun begins to rise,
N-ight is nowhere in view;
G-reetings are on the way,
U-nder the sky so blue.
L-et your birthday bring joy, warmth, and light;
O-ne beacon is shining, with both main and might.
Came upon us at nine o’clock dear
Spaceship, but what was it doing here?
A shop girl gave a scream
This was much more than scream
And a little boy threw up a cheer!
His mother gave him a box on ear
Her chastising is what I could hear
Aliens gave a wave
I laughed and so did Dave
Earthling world is changing, that is clear.
Main Street had a classic pool hall,
Hustlers, chisellers, and those who like to fool all,
Second-hand stores along the way,
And the old Helen's Grill greasy spoon café.
Now, Main Street's no longer the same;
Developers and yuppies have changed the game.
They say it’s all for common good,
But the oldsters miss their good old neighbourhood.
They quiver
with the motion of her hand
and she calls them pretty.
No one comes
here without joy.
Fiber filagree adds color
miracles. Needy, pretty,
drizzled. Shivering.
as she moves them.
The women tote
them, arranging and
mixing them in the sun.
Life is in whispers,
lighter than gauze,
the shuffle of breath,
the brush of tooth on lip.
I do not always stay on top of the mountain
The room is empty, tears produce no sound
The silence answered with deep thoughts
Grief feels like to drown in the depths of darkness
In my quietest and lonely moments
As the black chords in a sad play

Straight path to the strip club, prostitutes showing me love, prostitutes granting me clingings, Man I must admit I Love this, their ****** husky, yet I treasure a girl, I order her bloated pearls, she's no papergirl, she urges sensuality every day of the week, Unconsidered if I'm weak, belated nights kissing and clinging this is what significant other's do.
