Let my remains be not mourned or wasted
Entombed, cremated, sautéed or basted
Enriching the soil below
Where lush apple trees grow
I'll be in the best Macintosh anyone's tasted!

If one were laid beneath an apple tree
Very nourishing that would surely be
Apple pie to die for
From an earthling's deep core
Whose epitaph could read “Bon Appetit."

Picture Perfect
I sunk my teeth in
And chomped loudly
I pulled away
juice dribbling down my chin

My macintosh apple
Red as a rose
Sweet as sugar
Juicy like an orange
Shiny like lip gloss
Deformed like a blob
Crunched like chips
Perfect as a picture
Tasted like Heaven

My perfect little apple
Reminds me of the
Great things our planet
Has to offer...
Just like our own little Heaven
We just have to look a little harder...

Round heels of crumpets,
aromatic lavender jam.
Poached eggs in a skillet,
succulent portions of ham.
An awakening stretch had heralded
a yawn mouthed long and loud.
While rain fell down in splatters
from the dark pewter clouds.

Dated Macintosh slicker,
hoary exhausted gum boots.
Tenacious steps into nature
in search of family and roots.
The fallacies of the wind
twists hair into long plaits.
Across wide fields of enchantment
new journeys await....
