Hot cheese pizza
four slices, mmm.

Something Fishy Going On
Melting butter out of the fridge
For lunchtime sandwiches
And I'm recalling Saturday tea
And smokey yellow hadock
Pulled from a hot grill,
With butter soon soothing.
Why I'm remembering this
I don't really know
As I haven't felt flakes for years....

Good Impression
I once had a boss called Mister Reviere
Each lunchtime for ages he'd disappear
What he was found wearing
Kept everyone staring
Oh my, the padlock was stuck by his ear

Bladder Problems In Class
Numbers on
White board…names written hori-
zontally

Students ask
To go pee…right when class starts –
THAT’S just wrong…

Bathroom line
Of students who have bladder
Problems – WOW!

People are
Not using lunchtime to do
Their business

No one knows
When to do their duties – SER-
IOUSLY?...

You're on this bus and safe inside
But please consider those who ride
Or walk or cycle, those on horse back
(Before you eat your lunchtime snack)
And wave and cheer and smile, don't stare..
It's nice for them to know we care x

Monday
MONDAY

Climbing the steep hill of Monday
Is starting to pall,
And the warm crest of Wednesday lunchtime
Is forever just two steps out of reach.
The rocks and slips of the rising
Cut into my soul and weary me:
Before I even set my best foot forward,
Or get my first wind, I'm starting to fall....

Lunch With a Friend
Hungry and cold as lunchtime came at last
with snatched breakfast a long gone blur,
my urge for food was taste and warmth,
but known; not new, no fads, no frills.

Not sure of how to proceed
I met by chance a well known friend,
a tattie, just baked and filled with mince
so simple meal enjoyed, i'm cheered....

Two, Three Times a Day
Pills for that, pills for this,
Stated dose you mustn't miss.
One at breakfast, one at night,
two at lunchtime keep you right,
Stomach pills and headache pills
keep at bay your aches and ills
Yellow ones and pink ones too,
some are purple, some are blue,
each has got their job to do
then you go and catch the 'flu!!...

Premium Member A Burger and a Fry
What was better than pumpkin
pie stuffed in my eye? Nothing
more than a burger and a fry..
That's why I wonder why?
If pancakes are great at
breakfest time? A sandwich
is great at lunchtime?
A spaghetti a great meal at
dinner time? But what was
better than just old fashion
ham on rye? Nothing more
than a burger and a fry..

Water Fountain Sculpture
multi-cultural mecca
Farmers' Market at the United Nations Plaza,
San Francisco

water fountain sculpture
misting through the
jazz audience at lunchtime,
during the weekday summer concert series

poetry gives me new eyes
situated right in front of my
heart ~ sigh

A wiley seagull bathing
under a pressure close to a full
blast, water sculpture mist curls my hair

And I forget the littered alley I walked through
a second ago...

Time for Tablets for Time
Those small drug holders!
They have numbers on them.
They reminded you when to take four pills:
one at breakfast time,
one at lunchtime,
one at dinnertime,
one when it's the hour for bed.

Those small drug holders!
Are those numbers fading?
They try to remind you what the time is,
when to have some breakfast,
when to eat your lunch,
when to consume some dinner,
when the hour for bed has arrived.

She is night star beautiful
strawberry blond curls
illuminating royal cheekbones
hazel (eye)d
conversationalist supreme
bikini fit
the crown jewel on Mr. Deans
list

Lunchtime, she chose her seat carefully
her cherub face bathed in half shadow
in a strange three-quarter pose
like a nude model sitting for a con
artist

Forever single
the pretty girl with the glass eye
was lonelier than a night star...
i suppose...

Inner Shaman
Now of New Age, I am a fan,
I communed with my healing man,
I relaxed, breathed, because I can,
Yes! I communed with my soul's shaman,
He appeared, by my psychic side,
At last, I met my inner guide,
But, you see, it was lunchtime,
Hunger pains panged inside,
Who is this messenger guide?
I asked, yearning deep, besides,
Yes! I did commune with my inner shaman,
Unfortunately, his name is Manga!
Let's do lunch,
End of hunch!...

A Letter To My Day
Oh, morning I greet you! hey
Hello… and how do you do?
The sky is so bright and blue
I have to go…there is so much to do today

Good day… oh afternoon! wow!
The sun is shining so soon
The sparrows have cause to croon
It’s lunchtime, i need my sauce and spoon now

It’s nice you’re here oh night! so cool
Why do you always save the sunlight?
I love to listen to tales by moonlight
Oh, it’s bedtime so, light out... some seldom fool...

Wise Words-2
Very deep emotional and inspiring verse:

He was born from a grass thatched house in a remote village. His friends used to laugh him that he will be a failure in life. At lunchtime he had lack of food and wore a tattered school uniform. One day,he was chased out of school because he had no school fees. But, today he is taking flights all over the world and helping millions out of poverty shackles.

A Little Cup of Bliss
Coming home,
There's one thing I always look forward to.
Waking up,
There's one thing I always look forward to.
At lunchtime,
There's one thing I always look forward to.

During long car trips, stuffy and droll,
The thought of one thing keeps me going.
In exams, long and stress filled,
The thought of one thing keeps me going.
When it's stormy and cold outside,
The thought of one thing keeps me going.

And that would be,
Plain and simple,
A cup of tea....

Chicken Pot Pie
The man sat in his wheelchair;
His aide was on the phone,
Behavior to which aides and sitters
Oftentimes are prone.

“You’re hungry?” She hung up and said;
The question I’d not heard.
“But you had lunch!” and yet
His urge for food was undeterred.

“Remember? At the Mansion?
Chicken pot pie was your meal,
With lentil soup, then ice cream.”
(Likely as a mid-day deal.)

It wasn’t even 2 o’clock
Yet still, they headed back,
Abandoning the river
For an after-lunchtime snack....
