When a loved one is lost I don't grieve, I just feel numbness.
I believe that it is nature's way of expressing kindness.
Behold the flame tree
At home in the North Country
There for all to see
Under its branches we three
My loved one, the tree, and me

Pandemics don't come with waivers
Pandemics don't exchange favours
From beginning to end
Whether loved one or friend
Pandemics produce cadavers!
Never in my life,
Have I hated anything more.
Another loved one,
You have in your greedy clutches.
And all I can do is watch,
As you slowly take them,
Away from me.
Greater love is that which transforms a person
into another person completely:
It's you being you and the other loved one,
and the loved one being her and you!

but, heart burns

Life is complex
or so many think
When a former loved one
now goes by 'ex'
Frankly, that's bull
life happens, move on
You never knew love
~ it was just sex
Woe betide this waste of life
To whom the gods did give much strife
And now to end my life with much aharm
I drink this poison to join my loved one across the stars
My love im coming
Absent darkness
we know not light
Without wrong
we know not right
Summoning courage
we know not fear
Losing a loved one
we cry a tear
What do you do with an orange rose
Would you share it with a loved one
Or place it within a book…
Whether for love or memory
