i’m good when ok
and ok when not too sad
            who cares anyway
         how I feel about today
this tanka makes me look bad

She Sang Her Heart Out
She sang and she sang till blue in the face
It didn’t look bad with her dress of white lace
She sang her little heart out
Her body they did cart out
They searched for her heart, there was nary a trace...

Makeup Wont Cover My Red Face Today
Makeup won’t cover my red face today
All screwed up and tear stained, please stay away

The waterproof mascara has come off in bits
And the concealer melting round my red and swollen lips

Makeup won’t cover my sadness today
I guess I’ll look bad, just like my day....

Kitty
Naughty kitty, naughty kitty
Never look bad
Sad kitty, sad kitty
Scratch, scratch, scratch
Bad kitty, bad kitty
You'd never do that

Dead kitty, dead kitty
You never looked back
Dead kitty, dead kitty
You scratched, scratched, scratched
Dead kitty, dead kitty
You did that......

What Are You Waiting For
What are you waiting for
You know the score
Even if you don’t win
Just get up and do it again

It doesn’t matter in the slightest
For just doing it is the best
You’ve seen most things too
And you’ve done them and grew

So be true and good to you
And those you love too
Things may look bad some times
But it will be better and things will be fine.

Xi's eyes really slant toward Taiwan
He'd grab it if we'd just be gone
The things in that land
Could strengthen his hand
And help him work on his hard on

Author's note: Tsars and oligarchs don't like free societies on their border as it makes them look bad. People want freedom and western culture. In this world of ours should lifestyle be dictated by latitude and longitude?...

There Is No Understanding There
Even when the wind blows
Even if a baby cries
When the grass is trampled
Even if look bad
A stranger closes
Even if they talk to you
When family members argue
Even if they talk noisy at night
If they have not anything to pay
If a child steals something cheap
Even if swear alone
for all the behaviors
that are not in the heart
If it's not to liking
do act
by the spirit of reporting....

Upside Down
I never work out
and it makes me look bad
i hate vegetables
and that makes me look fat
i don't like to work
it invades my privacy
and that makes me a parasite
(actually i have a job
otherwise
who was gonna pay my bills)
i don't like marriage
it makes the man possessive
and the woman a b....
and that's pretty much
it
except a million other things
that make me look stupid
watching upside down
the reality......

Hey Sweetie, it's your birthday,
And I know that you won't brag,
So I'm gonna do it for you,
On you it don't look bad.

I hope you really have a ball.
Run and play, get hairy.
Chase the mail man down the street.
Whatever makes you merry.

Chase the cat around the room,
Or lie in the sun and snooze.
Eat until it makes you sick,
Or sit back and howl at the moon.

(Just do whatever makes your tail wag)...

Premium Member Living My Age
my nails look bad
all crumpled and broken
but my sticking out everywhere hair is a joy
I am a wild child of Borneo

my teeth are jagged and yellow
proof I have earned my age
there is cauliflower in one eye
moving toward the center

tell me again of the joy of old age
I will be grateful when I trade this body in for a new one
resolving to take better care of the next one
my extra pounds jiggle and laugh...

The Fed's interest increase today
Could change the election in play
Their latest rate rise
Is meddling in disguise
And Republicans say hooray!

Author's note: Do we believe the Fed didn't realize inflation was a problem until recently? They didn't raise rates during the previous administration--OMG that would have made the T-rumpasaurus look bad. They could have held off this month, but this way they can bias the electoral process....

Yes it’s not strange:
Feel winds of change
Undo your range.

When things look bad,
Rise above sad,
See beyond mad.

Anchor your sight:
Prize that true light,
Beauty prompts right.

Be of good cheer:
Love lives right here,
Purge empty fear.

Live each day well:
Your love casts spell,
Live where you dwell.

Live and love now:
Watch joy endow
Your whys and hows.

Premium Member Worn Out Working Out
My workouts just get tougher,
The older that I get.
All the pains that I suffer,
Just trying to stay fit.

Wish I felt just like I did,
More than thirty years ago.
Back when I was still a kid,
And my muscles still would grow.

Even though I don't look bad,
For someone of my age.
The knowledge makes me sad,
That it's time to turn the page.

Though my will still compels,
At times it seems so stormy.
I'd love for someone else,
To do my workouts for me....

'' My Baby's Dad''
YOU ARE THE VERY BEST AT MAKEING ME MAD..
I KNOW WERE STUCK WITH EACHOTHER..WHICH IM GLAD ...
AT CERTAIN TIME'S THE WAY YOU ACT IS REALLY SAD..
I ALWAY'S WONDER WHEN YOU'LL FINALLY GROW UP AND BE A DAD..
AND WHEN WILL YOU REALIZE YOU STILL LOVE ME AND I WAS THE
REALEST GIRLFRIEND YOU EVER HAD.
YOU TRY TO ACT STUPID BY TALKING DOWN ON ME, NOT REALIZING YOUR
ONLY MAKEING YOURSELF LOOK BAD...

IT'S A NEVER ENDING WAR ME AGAINST MY BABY'S DAD....

A Certain Sadness
A Certain Sadness

Time eventually becomes sad
With you becoming down
Even though it may not look bad
You will almost certainly get a frown
Sadness grows and swells up
Into your throat, gripping it hard
Fills a whole cup
As sings the sad bard
Life is terrible and awful
As is shown again and again
Though, you may be grateful
You’ve already heard the slogan
But you don’t want it anymore
After your soul and mind was bruised and sore

Know many things
Watch how life flings

The path you find
Prompts your fond mind

Joy sizzles ease
Gather true peace

The way you dance
Flavours fine chance

Choice echoes poise
Reach beyond noise

The things you know
Fashion your show

Mad can look bad
Odd sad syncs glad

The path charms well
The way frames tell

Pretty prize points
Jazzy stuff joints

Plot pathway lot
Seize spicy thoughts
