Wild Kingdom

every Sunday night
Marlin and Jim
traveling throughout the world

catching cats
lassoing llamas
herding hyenas

interspersed with insurance commercials
Mutual of Omaha protecting the wild and you

My favorite:
Snagging snakes
I rooted for the snake!!!

Premium Member What Use Is a Llama
Consider the neck-ed creature known as the llama
A species of alpaca that lives in zoos or dioramas

Some llamas look like camels, others like sheep
Tho I've never seen one shephereded by Little-Bo-Peep

As for me, I really haven't much use for llamas
Unless I need a pair of brown woolen pajamas...

jiggling juggernaut jockeyed judo
katie’s Korean kitties killed with kudos
lively llamas listened, learning Latin
Mischievous miscreants misused satin
Needless nimble noodles kneaded themselves
Opulence and opals were seen in land of elves
Paralyzed parlor poodles paraded past purple pails
Quarrelsome queens quickly collected quick quails...

Amor
Donde Sagran los ángeles,
Se adora la tierra.
Cuando lo admiras, lo lloras
El deceo que ahoga.

Donde caen enemigos,
Se olvidan los amores.
Cuando lo miras, se sabe
El odio de diferencia.

Me llamas el odio de Dios.
Desastre de los demonios,
Amante de todo malo.

Me llamas amor tan puro,
Desastre de mucho amor,
Amante mío a muerte....

Hippy hyena hid hipster hippo’s hysteria.
Ignominious iguana ignored Iceland’s icky industries.
Jovial jelly jars joyfully jumped jubilantly into June.
Kind kangaroos killed Kansas’s killjoy kindnesses.
Loving lithe llamas languished, lacking lonely leaders.
Marvelous magnificent magicians masqueraded as maestros.
Needless nutcrackers helped hippy hyenas hide hippos’ hysteria....

Llamas and Alpacas
Llamas and alpacas are definitely different,
Some people like to vociferant,
Llamas are tall,
alpacas are short,
It is your call
But i will protect my fort,
If you spell llamas with one L,
Then you are talking about llamas and alpacas,
No one will ever tell,
But llamas are the alphas,
Of the two different breeds,
Magnificent creatures,
They are indeed,
Just look at all of their features!...

Untitled
Like Ogden I dwell on llamas or lamas.
Like Yeats I'm too too morose.
My rhymes are more like Thomas
And too little of the red red rose.
\Like Shakespeare methinks too much;
Like Dickinson I'm so so morbid
And, of course, like Dylan a total lush
And always much too torpid.
\So like Coleridge's albatross
An Thayer's Casey-at-the-bat
I'll have to hope my thoughts will cross
The grey matter just below your hat....

A Day At the Beacon Hill Park Zoo
A horse on the left
A horse on the right.
With us in the middle.
Tally ho, quite.

Walk through the park.
It's such a lark.
Walk, peacock strut, duck waddle.
Walk with the group, don't dawdle.

A cage of rodents at the zoo.
Baby goats and llamas too.
Finches, a baby pig.
A peacock with a tail so big.

And of course,
A miniature horse.

Premium Member Hunched Over Harry
Hunched over Harry had a humpback for sure
He never learned to stand up straight, but his motives were pure
Children ran from him screaming for their mamas.
He felt sad about this, so only made friends with his llamas.

What is wrong with him? Someone asked me one day.
Nothing, I admitted. He is really a nice guy, truly okay.
But he started slouching over when he was in junior high.
No one knows why though; no one knows why....

Premium Member Tribute To the Incas
Inti, the Sun God, was happy always
Moon deferred to him in all kinds of phase.
Incas pussyfooted under his gaze.
He ruled Mexico in the good old days
The priests and alpacas met Inti’s gaze.
Mita system was society’s craze.
Children of twelve were not allowed to laze.
Boys herded llamas and alpacas for days.
Girls gathered plants for medicines and glaze.
Inca society will simply amaze
Conquering others whose children are slaves....

Llama
Nothing rhymes with llama
Nothing rhymes with lava
HEY! Llama and lava rhyme
I guess I knew that the whole time
When I see a llama, I shout
But when I see it not burning in lava, I pout
Ok, so that's not true
But I'm sitting here quietly with nothing to do......
I just realized that I've never seen a llama in the zoo.
I'm really starting to hate llamas now
I really wish they would all burn in lava
Still not true....
Still with nothing better to do......

A Day Out At the Zoo
We rode on a bicycle made for two,
While on vacation, to visit a zoo.
Where we strolled around, enjoying our view.
    Of North America's, wild caribou,
To friendly llamas, from far off Peru.
And an African antelope, the gnu.
Then watching pachyderms, while in the queue,
We observed birds, and a flightless emu.
To big cats and reptiles, farewell adieu.
