Sincerity sticks to some
like a shiny penny sticks to a naked @ss.
It soon falls off and leaves no lasting impression.
President Abraham Lincoln
His life for the Union gave
He hearkened to his conscience
And dared to free the slaves
America
Is the protein of the world
America
Is the candle of Liberty
( To my role model in courage Abraham Lincoln)
A man from Connecticut found
His legs would not reach to the ground.
“I wish I was shorter,”
He told a reporter,
“To stop all this floating around.”
There’s a teacher out in Morro Bay
Who won’t celebrate Presidents Day
Washington—Lincoln
Sure—Now you’re thinkin’
But Pierce and Buchanan? No way!

once a small tabby named peaches
liked to recite lincoln speeches
at the senate she'd roost
till president deduced
that cats trying to impeach us.
Lincoln, your honesty gave you a name
Death surrounded you in all kinds of ways
Civil War gave you the worst kind of fame.
Wonder if you ever had any good days?
Abe Lincoln returned for a day
He looked about him in his curious way
Mused to himself, must be mean pirates here
Everyone and his sister sports a blue beard
Dead To Rights
Was found dead to rights
As I conformed days and nights
All within my sights.

Trump and Lincoln
Lincoln split long logs;
What Trump has given me is
A splitting headache.
Can you imagine building
things with Dump Trump
logs wearing shower clogs.
The masquerade party theme was to show
What your love life is like for all to know
One man without blinkin'
Said, "I am Abe Lincoln,"
"My last four scores were seven years ago!"
Great Britain’s famous Charles Darwin -
On biology he put a new spin.
Like Lincoln, born the exact same year, month and day;
both hated slavery and are well-remembered, by the way.
Todays blessing comes by way of Abraham Lincoln
who, in his life, saw his share of tragedy…
‘Is it possible we’re all blessed’ he said
‘to be as happy as we make up our minds to be?’
You Know
The words you know are overused—you know
You know, I know this is truly so
Just think of Abe Lincoln
(Let the image sink in)
Four score and seven years ago—you know

Lady from Lincoln
there once was a lady from Lincoln
at whom the guys couldn’t stop winkin
she developed a cough
making them all run off
to the pub to carry on drinking
Poor Mister Lincoln
Shoulders cowed
Watched Freedom’s ark sinking
From Heaven’s redoubt
A country divided
An idea torn to shreds
Cried poor Mister Lincoln
My Union is dead
I've turned over a new leaf, going green
It's green or it's bust, nothing in between --
Lincoln, Hamilton, Jackson
Ulysses Grant and Franklin --
But not Washington ~ that dollar has-been

and saved The Union.
Let us not disunify
at this point in history.

Alas, Abe Lincoln was fatally shot forsooth,
By that nefarious cad John Wilkes Booth!
Booth was shot by Sergeant Boston Corbett,
Sending him on his well-deserved eternal orbit!
