Like the gunner laying out flak.
It’s quite the disturbing
light show.
No peace here.
It’s war.
spring light show me the
way, save me from this cold
and lonely plot, scare the crows
away tell the raven to wait

she is star of the light show
in the ocean so deep full of delight
winking her luminous self into his water’s depths

concentrate on the

Singapore
Raindrops pounding the pavement
like soldiers marching to war,
dark clouds blowing by
like cars on the freeway,
the crack of thunder sounding
like a home run swing,
and a light show
better than laser Floyd.
Fragrant scent wafts through the summer night
As fireflies put on a light show
Luna peeks from behind clouds
To say a quick hello
Trees sway in its glow
Jasmine's allure
Enchants the
sultry
night
fabulous fluorescent fiber optics light show
seldom seen anywhere except spectacular Singapore
greeting us, promising more marvelous sights to see
an intergalactic runway of awesomeness runs toward me
Singapore rocks!
Out at sea the lightning cracks
But the thunder makes no sound
Due to the open waters
And the lack of solid ground
Far away from man or beast
Where none but the brave will go
Echoes a whispering wind
And a heavenly light show
There is a rumbling on the rafters,
a subtle pounding drum beat on the roof,
flashing in the skies, harlequin spoofs
a light show awesome and frightening ever afters,
the summer storms drift in then race
slow and steady in their pace
ready for the earth to be displaced.
Once in a blue moon
A rare sight to behold
Dancing cross the sky
A celestial curtain
Flowing like a wave
That shimmers in the night.
How radiant it glows
Shifting color by the second
A light show for the world to behold
Before fading out of sight
But never out of mind.

Love knows calm play

Tires pop on gravel
as we drive up the hill.
We snake through cedars,
swallowed in darkness.
Tiny lights flash
among the trees.
He kills the headlights,
slows the car to a crawl.
"Look," he says,
"It's nature's light show."
A magic moment,
evoking childhood memories,
catching fireflies in a jar.
Carefree Teddy Bears

A mama teddy bear and her cub
Stand in the cold,
Safe and warm in their fur coats.
Entertained by passing cars,
The sun's light show,
The whipped cream fluffiness of snow,
And nature's varied artwork,
What more do they need?
Moonlight's bright and eerie glow
shines down on earth and creatures below,
creating nature's dazzling light show.
Stars twinkle and sparkle in a graphite sky,
conversing with moon as he hangs nearby.
Moon's smiling face and stars' radiant light
are needed to brighten up the blackened night,
resplendent with visions of celestial delight.
R-ise of the sun begins,
U-nderneath the blue sky;
B-eautiful beacon has come,
Y-our woes have all gone by.
L-et Sunday light show up,
E-arly twenty-sixth February;
G-ray clouds don't gather,
A-s the dawn shares its glory.
S-tay firm and faithful,
P-lease the Lord Almighty;
I-n spite of the brewing storm, Obey God in humility.

Quick popping noise
Streak across the sky
Stars brighten
and glisten
against dark of night
as two lightning bolts strike
Animals take cover
Under fallen oaks and hickories
Felled during other lightning strikes
Fox, opossums, wolves
Huddling and resting
As cosmos fireworks
Begin their beautiful light show
