Lie low, as the noise whizzes by
overhead, side to side, undertow
Echoes reverberate ‘cross the canyon
plunge into the bone-dry riverbank

Past, Present, Future
Fighting all the time
See no smiles in your house
Sometimes just silence

Learning to lie low
Leaving all love behind you
Kid in a divorce

Things will get better
I hope......

Seen, Unseen
The doer within—
Silent enabler, unseen
Works behind the scene;

Now look at ego,
Pretender and a big show,
Why can’t it lie low?

You have just blown your last candle out
It does no good to scream and shout.
Even if you try to lie low,
When you gotta go, you gotta go.
The time has come for you to find out,
Who possesses all the clout....

Two Worlds Collding
Africa, lie low,
             amidst the jungle beauty
                and many oceans.

                  Stanley meets Zulu
            the center cracks open then
                  all things fall apart

For a time I've been writing as the stream idles by
as dust storms are rolling, across a faraway sky
while sheep are a'bleating; as the cattle lie low
as I'm writing I'm watching, the white falling snow
it drops down in silence, from the dark coloured sky
I feel distanced, from the home that I'm holding
here in my minds eye..!

Nightly, They Glow.
Fluorescently yellow,
these flickering fireflies
swelling and streaking
'cross burgundy swazzled skies
Deeply enraptured
and wanted to capture
I lie low in wait
as my breathing grows faster.
Wishing they'd light
on the tip of my finger
Casting their glow
for a moment they'd linger
Then off they would be
into darkening skies
Leaving their trails
like an exhaling sigh....

Human Uxos
They just lie low
Waiting to pounce
With deadly results
On innocent people
And causing unfathomable
Mental and physical damage
These are strictly speaking
Not people with heart and soul
They are unexploded ordinance
Best diffused with bulldozers or
Unmanned air combat vehicles
But best of all a change of heart
A feat the troops of God, Allah
And other Deities might as well
Employ, if they are not complicit!...

Castle On a Hill
I have a castle
on a hill – so high
I can see my beloved from far.
I also see the valley,
and daily lives of my subjects.
My generals can see any enemy ships
from afar.
Still,
I long to live in the valley,
like my subjects. If I can live in the valley,
I will never see my wife cheating on me once again,
or see my soldiers smuggling my treasures.
I want to lie low,
close my eyes, and forget all it means
to be in a real world…....

Midnight Hunger
The rumbling sound,
While I lie low to the ground-
Calling upon the cuffs of sleep -
To keep me in the jails deep-
It is a wave that strikes;
A hungry tummy to get a slice,
Of bread,
Of breath.
With a frothed mouth,
The emptiness goes south.
In this darkness, craving for food,
I remember the nuts unchewed.
With my head under the pillow, I yawn;
And the stomach enzymes spawn.
Midnight hunger is disaster,
That needs to be served like a master....

Beau Ou Belle
Be elegant
Hold your chin high, posture!
Always strive to be relevant
With those who lie low, do not bother

Embody allure
Be a symbol of affection
Keep up with the best couture
Be of fair complexion

Resemble a painting
Hold ‘good-selfishness’
Never be close to fading
Never succumb to pettishness

Live as perfection
Show it to be effortless
Be proud of your reflection
Be the most generous

Embrace your beauty… though it is only a facade...

You lied
I cried

Lie low
Hello

My dear
Her rear

Was flake
You snake

Slitter
Hitter

Batter
Scatter

Foul balls
Who falls

I did
You squid

I plea
Leave me

Your eyes
Like pies

And sweets
And tweets

That sing
And bling

That sate
Your plate

Without
A doubt

Peter
Cheater

Pumpin
Bumpkin

Bowwow
Chow Chow

It's clear
Leave here
