Greenback Blood
Rogue, conniving, greedy leeching tick
Smells of money's fresh ink, makes me sick
Tailored suits, polished shoes
Bet you have green stool ooze!
Money makes green blood, sweat, tears and tricks!

For the lawyer limerick by Carolyn D....

Lose
this drains me
falling away
leeching from the source
they can't wait to rend your soul
to kill your chances
one more time
but you couldn't read it in the papers
hear it on the radio
let me explain
or maybe not
just throw yourself
at my face

there once was a time
when i had value---
a worthy member
of society---
a respected entity;
but that was
when i was a young twig…
today i am seen as a dying
aged tree---a burden
stifling society---
a worthless stock,
leeching a monthly
survival stipend
intoxicant (SSI):
tomorrow I will try to pawn
my “forty years of service”
watch....

Ritual
On both sides of drunk,
on both sides of sober,
both sides of the truth
and both sides a lie
lie the two of us.

You own the license to my pain,
I hold the leasehold to your wounds,
we hunger for the ritual
embedded in our souls,
fractures that won't heal.

We can't breathe but what
we're bleeding,
leeching out the worst
of how we feel....

Sonnet No 1
How do I compare to thee
Your intransience knows no bounds
Id gesticulate more often than not
Your red pattern dress
Your Yes is a No
You're darndest to know
You're like a Newfoundland
leeching unreson
Your everyones bosom except mine
You turn me into wilderness
I do not know my heart ?
I am left speechless
On the morning of your coming
you leave me dumb confounded...

DEATH SUMS #2

Feel fatigue spread in heavy sighs,
Feeble as dread falters and cries.

Feel leeching pulse that pokes and chokes,
Loss of impulse in final stroke.

Plunge into void dark angel styles,
What life avoids now end game files.

Strangle sans choice in dying lot,
Frozen the voice bereft of thought.

Life Is a Privilege
Living in the moment
Intertwined with caution
Fondling with death
Endless absent-minded absorption

Innocent and naïve
Silent but deadly

Arrogant misconception

Phenomenal credibility
Reality sets harsh
Immediate results
Various humans scrambling
Incompetent lives ran up
Leeching to get upstairs
Entitled to nothing worthwhile
God hawks their sorrow
Eventually guiding them back down...

Sad story stains
Spread sensuous strain

Nude naughty name
Burdens brisk blame

Such squeaky sounds
Proud pleasure pounds

Glimpse grumpy gain
Pride plunders pain

Leeching last light
Niche nasty night

Rich rapture ripe
Proud pleasures pipe

Such sad surprise
Pain pickles prize

Huge hate hustles
Big blaze bustles

End echoes etch
Sticky smudge sketch

identity
It’s a searing, wordless pain to be unsure of my own identity
Lost in the day to day, shackled by the ins and outs of my stoic life
Mirrors look back at me, a hazily dreampt structure of a face without a name
Leeching naivety distorts common sense, never revealing a world of cloaked wicked intentions
I study myself until my eyes crack, in search of a semblance of recognition
Though it seems I am just and idea crafted by a bleeding heart

Casualty of Loss
Casualty of Loss

Drifting in murky waters
shadows lengthening
with sorrow’s darkness blight.
Cobwebbed remembrances
take flight, taking with it
prism’s life-light

Shades of gloom
mist yonder shores
obscuring vision, while
leeching into the life source
stagnating the living waters.

Cruel fate laps brutally
against the sands of time
while memories smother
and are swept away
on death borne
callus waves

Lifeboat sinking
with life’s bleedings
along shadowed shores....

No Rest For the Wicked
I am the evil poet
Evil spells conjured
Nine love potions
Potent incantations
Written on scrolls
Bleeding ceaselessly
To bleed is to live
To write is to breathe
With every breath taken
More evil awakened
Devils on the shoulders
Cant be shaken
No mistaking for Christmas
Ghosts the leeching hosts
Life force sucked
Not able to duck
Can’t escape the chase
The noxious race
Ballet of death
“No rest for the wicked”
A snake laying in a
Thicket of lies...
