Yes I speak French the brazen imposter bragged.

Past Her Prime
A poetess well past her prime
Had some trouble when writing a rhyme.
Her limericks lagged
And her readership sagged
You could say it was really a …tragedy!

The Mirror
its wood frame is flaking

the face reflected in the glass
is time-lagged
recognizable only
when molded
to a memory

tomorrow
i will strip the frame down
varnish it
polish the mirror
then sell it on

as a good riddance...

I observed some tiny fish whose formation was a ball,
But one fish didn't keep up too well and lagged a bit behind.
He looked a lot like a soccer ref, ready to call a foul,
But perhaps, his sense of circle had never been defined....

Sajdah Al-Riyami You Are It
I carry the torch,
I have been tagged.
I couldn’t run fast enough,
For my pen has now lagged.

But the next victim will be,
Sajdah Al-Riyami.
With his beautiful verses,
Like poetic origami.

Now search the poets,
On this site a little bit.
Search for the next victim,
‘Cause tag you are it....

Still I Stand Strong
You think you've lagged me behind ,
But I'm sorry to say that you're wrong.

You've tried to weaken me;
Shatter me & scatter me,
But still here I am, standing strong.

There's only one way to settle this;
once & for all.

Let's do it my way,
No matter night or day.

I'll walk alone & conquer the quest,
In the journey to be the very best.

You may try but you ain't gonna win,
At last, you'll have to pay for your every single sin....

Curiosity is at work on Mars
Handful of food on earth in search.
Android ultra-modernism in heart and mind
No logy progress for the lagged behind.
Dengue hit Bengal: forget death, only
Instigating political controversy.

Me, my, mine, myself and I
A need for looking at the open sky.
Nocturnal pleasure dims
Day's bright light; it seems
Absconded optimism in chase...
Labyrinth of human darkness!...

The Jolly of Justice
THE JOLLY OF JUSTICE

Jumping Jupiter this July,
ginormous jubilant justice,
jealously judged and justified,
joy went for the jugular.
I'm just the jewel of my destiny,
had to jettison all jesters -
jabbering jackass jesting.

Being too long on jail-flight,
jet-lagged and jaded
until my journey found Jesus
as a Jehovah's jeerer and
juvenile jobless joker,
then justification rid judgement,
joining the jolly of justice.

A Girl and Her Bubbles
A stream of bubbles,
Gently grazed my face,
As I lagged behind.

Admiring the colorful trail,
Seeing her reflection in each floating sphere,
Her laughter was captured in every burst,

One in particularly caught my eye
She jumped for joy on its gigantic size
A little girl’s accomplishment on this summer day
Helped me once again to appreciate the small things
In a world filled with thunderous commotion
Her simplicity quieted my spirit.
