In a Mile

Moses saw light on a tree
Pharaoh was on a killing spree
Moses had to stand against all odds
Pharaoh claimed to be the best of gods
Moses did it all for the faith
Pharaoh did it all for arrogance
Moses fought and went walking through the Nile
Pharaoh followed and drowned in a mile.

                                    does not know wife Aurora

Wild Horses Running Free

Wild horses running free

Hearts without conscience
scarred with a brand of evil
ideology
like wild horses running free
no reins to stop killing spree

Premium Member Bonnie and Clyde

Bonnie and Clyde prowled the country in a V-8 Ford on a robbing and killing spree!

They met their doom on a rural road by cops concealed behind rock and tree!

Per Undertaker "Boots" Bailey, the bodies were shot so often by cops lying in wait,

That the embalming fluid kept leaking from the holes as he tried to stem the spate!

Who Says

Who says the world is free.
Come I will show you the bodies hanging on the maple tree.
Who says the world is free.
Come i will show you the bodies hanging on the apple tree.
Who says the world is free.
Come I will show you how they go around on a killing spree.
Who says the world is free.
Come i will show you the blood flowing like a sea.
Who says the world is free.
The freedom here has got a fee.

Pandemonium

Paris today is in the grip of killing spree
Afghanistan tomorrow another victim
New York had faced it terribly
Dew-killing fanatics spreading terrorism
Equity and equality sadly on the wane
Morning dreams in radical sleep
Oleanders in confused brain
Nuclear weapon will be very cheap
International awakening we need
Umbrella of justice and parity
Moon shudders in pandemonium

Billy the Kid, a gunfighting cowboy, he started his killing spree as a young boy; escaped often- arrested, shot and in a grave rested; and legends grew for Billy to enjoy ! ________________________ April 30, 2022 Poetry/Limerick/Billy The Kid Copyright Protected, ID 04-1452-839-30 All Rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, High Noon sponsor, Joseph May, Judged 05/08/2022

Serial Killer

I was a serial killer and I killed many times.
For years the cops couldn't bust me for my crimes.
I killed all of those people for over a decade.
They begged for their lives because they were afraid.
I don't even know the reason why I killed.
I'm sick because it gave me such a thrill.
I killed eighteen women and three men.
Now I'm going to have to pay for my sins.
I was just arrested by the cops.
Now my killing spree will stop.

My heart aches at thought of elephants' plight Those splendid ivory tusks ignite Killing spree that's totally senseless Brutality against absolute defenceless. Elephants roamed with freedom graced Then intruders arrived with deadly face Felled by ignorance and arrogant gun I ask you, how can this be fun? Safari of death for beautiful ivory Bangles and beads such bloody finery This went on for too many years Did anyone note doomed elephant tears?
