barbie and ken travel keen

into a space quite serene

starried sky dance

astral romance

setting a new cosmic scene.

Premium Member Beyond...Our Ken

His life was ebbing fast
Our thoughts raced to the past
Of holidays in mountain & sun
Picnics,camaradely fun
With this cockney gentle-man

Tribute to our close friend who died this morning

Premium Member Wrong Den For Ken

A rascal up north, poet Ken,
had retired one night to the den.
He woke to the stares
of six angry bears
and fought them all off with his pen.

A rascal up north, poet Ken

retired one dark night to his den.

He woke to the stares

of two angry bears

and fended them off with his pen!

Premium Member You Won't Get This with Ken Burns

A Mount Vernon daddy long-legs
was pregnant with ten thousand eggs.
You might call what she did a shameful deed
with a Monticello centipede,
and yet...not long after Valley Forge,
that monstrous army defeated a proud King George.

Premium Member Shellfish Ken

There’s crustaceans in my rations,
And the krill are in my pills.
There’s a prawn on my lawn,
And all this gives me chills.
There’s an oyster who is cloistered
With a crawfish in a dish,
But the shrimp is on the barbie,
And that’s what gives me thrills.

My Friend Ken

My friend Ken
He acts like a ten
Year old.

He steals my email accounts
And spills tea all over my floor
He makes an awful mess in the kitchen
And you really don't want to use the loo "post Ken"

Ken smells too.
I hope that he reads this.
So there.
Stupid.

Ken Norton has had his say
You can win yes you can
He was the man that beat the man
He took his turn and made his stand
Yes Ken Norton was the man
We will always have a chance
When we try to make that stand
Just believe you really can
Beat the man that no one can

Premium Member Events Beyond Our Ken

Events beyond our ken and control
   trigger nausea in our soul
Incidents of abusive police attacks
   lead to destructive civilian blowback

Feelings well up from deep within
that media hucksters know how to spin
Those who'd like to offer solutions
drowned out by violent voice pollution

Peaceful towns reduced to rubble
   America's heartland in grave trouble

Ken (Pleiades)

Kneeling in prayer I’m
Kissed by heavenly rays
Kindling in me flames of
Knowledge bestowed for life
Keeping me strong, safe from
Knuckling under pressure
King of my humble realm.

A Bullet Named Ken

A Snapshot Of War.

He lies next to me in the mud
Dead; a shot blew half of his skull
Away leaving the taste of brains
In my mouth.” I shot that goddamn,
Dirty, rotten rag head, Ken! I
Cut him in half before he
Hit the ground!” Ken had a grotesque
look on his dirty, blood-soaked face.
Something I couldn’t quite make out.
I stared into his vacant eyes
And found myself unconsciously
Saying with no embarrassment,
“I’m glad it had “your” name on it.”

To Ken Kesey and Neal Cassady

If lost in yourself,
there’s no need to be found

As the self-disenfranchised,
circle around

They question and lecture,
and spew out their grief

To lure you within,
their false broken beliefs

“You really don’t get it, man,”
they sing from their bus

They say “You’re unhip”
and “You need to be us”

The chanting of laughter,
they march to inane

Where a prank on themselves
—waits in drug induced shame

Ken Wilbur's Rule

Thought for the day....... “I have one major rule: Everybody is right. More specifically, everybody — including me — has some important pieces of truth, and all of those pieces need to be honored, cherished, and included in a more gracious, spacious, and compassionate embrace.” Ken Wilbur

pieces of truth
colorations of Truth..
Yes..honor these
as fragments but
much more important
recognize the equality:
everybody's true identity
as the Embrace
as Truth...
