Juxtaposed to other birds unfair
Jettison your prejudices

Jubilantly this little bird thrives

Rosy 4
You had our meeting
as a chat
like midnight bathers
haplessly skinny dipping
you had it to a fine art

I gave my best shot
like the brightest CV
I rendered my soul
and was found wanting
May I ask you
what are you truly looking for
like a jet plume in the sky
you jettison the natural order
whilst Rosy sleeps...

GONE
GONE When all seems to be lost and with nothing gained It is that thing that no-one explained Yet with much to think upon As the time moves on It appears Gone All in tears Was it just a con A deal soon to jettison Yet nothing ever seemed to be feigned When all seems to be lost and with nothing gained

Falling
Southern Hemisphere
Northern Hemisphere
Like sleeping companions tugging the suns warmth from each other
One hoarding it, one exposed
And leaves quivering like exposed limbs
Until the trees jettison them like paratroopers
Each one swings in the currents chilly
As if held by an oscillating string
A succession of falling pendulums...

Love's Infliction, My Inflection
Summer’s sweetness lies upon the shores of tomorrow
As today’s bitterness is cast upon the craggy jettison
Left to die is the presence of torment and sorrow
As the only cure is this symbolic medicine

As I stand on this shore now daydreaming
My eyes have then focused on the view
While my heart’s inside screaming
I can’t get my mind off of you...

Close the Tale
Jettison the flotsam,
hurt me hard,
strike me from behind,
and stab me back,
bring in a spear,
dig it in my heart,
till I do my soul escaping fart,
bring in a leather cane,
and make it my bane,
you have ill will,
and make my full bill,
you want to see me in pain,
and I do not wish to gain,
here is all I have,
take it and,
close the tale....

Rain polka dots
the limestone church
in a spray of champagne
as throngs of ballet slipper camellias
plie like marionettes
with crystal strings
to heavy drops
on an emerald lawn
of rice tosses.

Rows of braided Lavender
sway to Spring's accordion gusts
just as far-off fields of shamrock
jettison rose poppies
into glistening air.

trash day
the crawling
trash-eating growlers
empty the jettison
of 7 days

strong limbs and gloved hands
heave and haul
tip-over the unwanted tangle
of unmindful chaos

the machine chews loudly

time to go
drag the empty black bins
back into their secluded caves

time to make eggs and bacon
to drop once more
rinds and shells
into plastic landfills

Protracted Years Written: by Tom Wright 6/18/2018 Protracted years have seen, My days become scratchy, Like a cheap pen’s nib on a cardboard box, And my thoughts are silent utterances, Of developments long ago; Today, my sub conscious is plagued, By besetting remembrances, as I jettison things, And find no moments for retention;

The continuità
Of thought quanta
A hypnotic trance
Marring innocence

Soundless word
Double edged sword
Slave or master
As we choose to foster

Love distilled attention
Lower mind we jettison
Deep trance meditation
Radiates bliss elation

Mode of being watchful
Co-creates each miracle
Bringing reality into being
As of our own choosing

Lost Words
I feel like a poppy
in a field of hogweed
My sentences have run dry
I am rudderless in the wilderness
I lack a welter of letters
unassigned to the wherewithal

I am lost in a cave
unfree to ply my words
The storm clouds jettison their foray
Speechless I gain no semblance
as the autre bards attack me
walking in no one's land
slow to trust in myself
the world should awaken
with an uninhibited din...

My Artist Friend - Another Ten Words
Among artists, she is something of an anomaly—
Traditional and avant-garde, austere and baroque,
Yet a bona fide artist nonetheless.
Amid the cacophony of modernism,
Where iconoclasm gives Carte-blanche
To jettison all rules and form and coherence—
A kind of fauvist deja-vu in distorted echoes—
She, neither dilettante nor polemicist,
Has genuine elan, and force, and passion--
In contrast to pandemic, jaded ennui....

A Knight But Not That One
The wind serpentines my hood against my cheek
the embers of my half smoked cig jettison
the greyed darkness in a flurry
brushing the collar and shoulder
to remove the silencing ash
shivering in the winds cold touch
the friction heat of my rubbing
hands offering little respite
and then the kiss of rainclouds
first born
Staring at a slowly fading facade
of an aquine moon
as the wind mounts its attack
on the whisping clouds...

The Code
Jettison the code of silence...

tune in to the understand...

Boot straps are a tightened....

controversial harmonised...

rebirth the code resilience...

critically acclaimed aware...

The tar that once stuck
to the sole of our shoes...

...Has all but disappeared...

Some sense the new beginning...

...the chaos they avert...

...The code has been rewritten...
...a reply yielded

The code will serve us well...

In the silence we rethink......

Karma
The diabolical plot
To end all our lives
Has begun.
Slowly circling the drain
We bicker and fight ourselves
Into extinction
We cut and shoot ourselves
Into oblivion
We jettison our legacy
Into obscurity.

The nefarious plot
To end all our lives
Has begun.
Programmed into our tiny brains
We give up and give in
To our fate
We submit and comply
to this destiny
We abide and indulge
This providence.

We do nothing to help ourselves....

Chameleon Puddles
Chameleon Puddles

kicked the journal in the rear
because time is wasting
i don’t hear the criteria
of jettison hues and striking oranges
i'm the girl doing the prismatic happy dance
the peacock dancing through mutant rain
stopping to pop squeaky airborne bubbles
roll around in dew of purple plains
gawking at the maverick architecture
resting only to adjust the density
of my panoramic range
and then I’m up and out
splashing through lifes chameleon puddles..
again...

The Jolly of Justice
THE JOLLY OF JUSTICE

Jumping Jupiter this July,
ginormous jubilant justice,
jealously judged and justified,
joy went for the jugular.
I'm just the jewel of my destiny,
had to jettison all jesters -
jabbering jackass jesting.

Being too long on jail-flight,
jet-lagged and jaded
until my journey found Jesus
as a Jehovah's jeerer and
juvenile jobless joker,
then justification rid judgement,
joining the jolly of justice.
