Southern Hemisphere Northern Hemisphere Like sleeping companions tugging the suns warmth from each other One hoarding it, one exposed And leaves quivering like exposed limbs Until the trees jettison them like paratroopers Each one swings in the currents chilly As if held by an oscillating string A succession of falling pendulums
