Green Sleeves
Jack Daniels could grow very mellow;
They called him a jolly, good fellow.
But, strange as it seems,
The good fellow turned green,
When he fell in a tub of lime Jell-o....

The Coming View
This morning, frost has sunshine inside it,
light shimmy’s, and the mud has a hint
of lime Jell-O.

Time to wait upon the lark and finch
until their songs arrive.

What we see changes its opinion,
only to reappear as a green revival.

On a far mountain
falling snow melts in mid-air....

A Snail Hot Opportunity
A Snail is a Snail
But how can you tell
Some say he has whisker's
I say that he has a tail
Fore where ever he goes'
He always' leave a trail
With no arms or legs'
He slither's in jell
And he take's of his time
To my sheer delight
Fore I do now know
That their will be

Sea Angels
Sea Angels

I walk the ocean sands
and wade among the waves.
I see an angel in motion
dancing on the foam.

This angel swirls and dips
the tutu fans with lunge;
Ballerinas in mid air
Or wings of glossy jell.

Fragile form yet vile
Like love you've had awhile.
Beautiful, yet stings
Jellyfish at the beach....

Premium Member Home Sweet Home
My home sweet home be, by a salt water taffy sea
Where I dream dreamy dreams of whipped creams,
From a pillow of marshmallow on a bed of Jell-O
Under a bedspread of gingerbread, iced in red,
My doors and floors made of graham cracker s'mores
And gumdrops, lollipops and candy-coated rooftops.

Parallel
A night of astral castle building
This illusionist skin became sag
Dropped fleshed , Sharpe human
Abhorrently mirror transfixed
Naked in her bathroom,
The nectar calling
Dreamed spiritually with a mouth
Remembering last nights sleep
Mother made with love
Daisies in Jell-O, militia told to eat
Sickening me with pedal-taste...

Acrostic Zone
O-ne acrostic zone
L-ets you enjoy the poetry;
A-ny letter means a lot, conveying a message so free.

H-ere in acrostic zone,
E-arly seventeenth of June;
R-hyme and rapture truly jell,
N-ever are they out of tune.
A-nother morn has broken,

Down To the Ground
Down to the ground man suits woman,
a complete natural union;
One perfect partnership,
a total created combination.

Nothing can separate them
from a lifetime bond or chain;
Storms they bravely weather
in the midst of torrential rain.

Often tested by temptation,
both in love and trust they abound;
Living happily ever after,
they jell down to the ground....

Premium Member Power Plant Or Powder Room
A power plant or a powder room? Your choice
Crap!
One of those dreams again.
I had already had one of these last Thursday.
Isn’t there a limit or something?

I knew if I chose the wrong one
I could end up boiled in strawberry Jell-O
or
my teeth could be pulled out by rusty pliers.
I choose planetarium, I said smartly.
Found myself trampled by a swarthy buffalo a few seconds later....

The snow this morning
looks like powdered sugar
sprinkled on lime Jell-O

The grass
already “greening up”
is lightly dusted
with those powdery flakes
I watched drift down
at 5:00 AM

Yet the sun, rising at 7:00
is laughing at the snow
assuring the daffodils
the crocus and hyacinth
they simply have nothing
to worry about.

At 9:00 AM
The sun’s promise
strikes true.

Try Again By Paul David Powers
I am willing to Try Again,
to meet a Woman, Lover Friend,
One of Faith I can depend,
Someone close to Cumberland!

I still Believe that Love Prevails,
Life's been hard sometimes like Hell,
theres another chapter to foretell,
Two Lost Souls, Unique to jell!

I don't care if your different see,
Just understand, that I am Free!
I Love my friends and family,
Forever hope our Love will Be!...

Premium Member badgers spy the baby muskrats
Badgers were planning a picnic extraordinaire!
Red Jell-O mold towered high in the spring air.
Shall I put a cherry on top? Asked persnickety Claire.
Why not? Said another. Baby muskrats are here.

Where is your mama? Asked Mrs. Badger then.
The babies giggled and rolled and hung down a chin.
I hope she is safe, Mrs. Badger told her husband man.
If not, we have three more orphans to join our little band....

Treasure of a Woman
they hang loose
body, in front of it's frame
assets
a liability in the making
fancied by men
for they are sure delight

they come in different
sizes and shapes
color
and texture too
some are muscular
others as soft as your jell-o
loosen out a bit
men's eyes will surely brighten up.

Premium Member Blueberry Sky
Through the windshield,
a splendid view.
Even though moving
along highway lanes
at a rapid pace,
we seemed to advance
in slow motion.

The sky enveloped
us in a cocoon,
folding in on all sides.

Powder puff clouds
dotted a canopy of clear blue,
dollops of whipped cream
on slabs of Jell-O.

In spots, stretched thin,
as though a giant invisible broom
swept through the wispy puffs

and smeared frosting
on a Kool-aid cake....

All the Time There Is
The frost has sunshine within it,
light shimmy’s, and the earth is lime Jell-O
Time to stand in line,
to wait upon the lark and finch
until songs arrive.

Be always in the middle of a poem;
find yourself lastly at the beginning
with no real title
just the odor of burnt paper.

This world is a time machine;
a main-spring rewinds itself,
on and on it goes, until we get off
only to reappear over there
on that far mountain
as falling snow....

Clay Victories
Scars been stricken on their face
The game is called, the green is dressed,
They shout, insult, drink and curse
(no rhyme of course, and seldom versed!)

We’re the blowing hooligans of the side
Swift and smooth as Jell-O Bratwurst,
Soccer warriors admiring the slide.
No matter who has lost or won.

Don’t you see the beauty of the game?
A seat, a bottle and that sissy figurine
Fly, knock, and hit any without a name
Till scars bleed on their face....

Spell Across the Lines
I fall in love with you over and over again
My love for you is one i'd love to aim
The further away you are,the more I want to claim
You, for i'd love to be in your chains

Am no romantic girl, but you give me the curls
In my little realm of fantasy, I dwell
I want to live in there until our bodies swell
                  With fire, no hell
I want us to make jell, to spell yell
                  In our little cell
Maybe one day, after I meet you, i'll tell...
