Isle In Asphalt

tall grass tickles
a bare tree growing through stones
an isle in asphalt
painted white lines go by
guiding the flow of morning

Emerald Isle

Tipperary's a long way from here,
But the Emerald Isle's best beer,
Will enhance any ceilidh,
I wave my shillelagh,
With some Guinness, old Eire feels near.

Isle of Pigs

Alone the demon sleeps–
Alone the demon weeps.
Last night mother died–
Last night father cried.
Yet here I sit by the windowsill,
Watching the doves fly by.

to those living in lonely recess
where all agonies they repress
be a friend in their isle

under bleak sky their broken hearts lie
take them onto cloud nine to fly
see they flash sparks of smile

The Lone Soup Poet On An Isle

There are 84,287 people on The Isle of Man
There is only one poet on Soup who lives on this Isle of Man
Her name is JAN famous in her own right
Her new name shall be: The lone wolf

But we still shall call her, JAN

An Isle, Bermudian

In His great slumberous periods
Mighty yawned, wedged in between
Love taking sips, beat ardours
That haze a hummingbird scene
This awaits, shaping comforts
Voluptuous settee.
Set on its coral paws to bear
The dreamt fruits of Deity.

The Fractured Isle

A desolate isle, where it hurts to smile
buried betwixt mists both eerie and vile.
Forever hidden amongst dwellers of an uncanny guile,
where those who chance stumble here, lost and senile,
art beckoned by a curious fear of no mortal description or profile.

Free Will Stuck On Isle

Not a leaf moves, they say, sans His will,
There’s no point trudging on a steep hill.
God smiles, veiling His guile,
Says with a perplexed smile:
Fate is fine but what of your free will?

I Miss You

I fell in love with a girl
Mirthful strength of hers I admire

Isle of the merciful she now dwell
Soaring up above my realm

Startling me by her extinction
Yes! She was a girl with unfulfilled mission

Of all things I wish I could say
Unto her soul I pray every day

Premium Member I won a poetry prize to go visit the lake isle of Innisfree

I won a poetry prize to go visit the lake isle of Innisfree. But I didn't wanna go, cuz there's nothing there I particularly wanted to see. I hear there's just a clay-and-wattles cabin with a bunch a bees a-blabbin' and nine rows of beans, and that doesn't really interest me.

We fished off the pier in carefree days
when girls wore tartan trews.
In endless summer sun we’d laze
when Tommy Steele was “Singing the Blues”.

Now it’s saffron robes and no-take zones,
maybe coffee in the cafe at the pier,
replaced by ubiquitous mobile phones,
like conversation, things just disappear.

love is finding
someone trust worthy
someone with inner beauty
that special someone
to set me free
and make me happy
her beauty sparkles
each moment the stars twinkles
the sound of her voice playing me a jingle
saying am single
and ready to mingle
she is the love of my life
and i can't wait
to make her my wife

Breathe in sweet scents of tuberose
And let fine mist caress your face,
Dive deep into aqua waters—
Become enchanted with this place.

time travels so fast
and we quickly forget the past
I thank God at last
yesterday you were my baby
now my lady
tomorrow you will be my fiance
and later in life
i shall call you my wife
diamonds are forever
i shall put a diamond ring
on your finger
for better or worst
we will be together
for our love is forever

they say i do not live in a mansion
neither do i have
a huge salary paid occupation
and poverty is my accreditation
so i do not deserve love
but what is love
and who is love for
the poor begs for love
the rich mistreat love
some have it all
but they don't have love
others have love
but do not no how
to treat love

As the lion searches for it prey
So have i long for thee
Sorry my anger drove you away
For with you behind me
Made me more comfortable
Why did i act a fool
You are adorable
But i betrayed you
I was carried away
Like a feather
I was discourage
By the bad weather
You were a good pair
But i did not treat you fair

Lake Isle Magic

There’s something magical about an island on a lake
A transient mooring, free to float adrift in space and time
To these small worlds we’re drawn to solitude from deep heart-ache
Where peace rings soft and clear as from a distant belfry chime

the finest flower in the garden
it smell reaches heaven
your beauty is outstanding
even among the hearten
sweet red wine
which cometh out of the kings vine
wish you could be mine
for kings don't make history
but hero's does
princess do not marry kings
but love does
i pray thee to pardon me
oh thou fertile piece of land
to multiply my generations like the sand

like a mother bee
which produces sweet honey
beautiful flowers posses
the sweetest nectar
if your love is a commodity
then i am neither
the buyer nor the seller
for love is precious than silver
you make me comfortable
Others made me inferior
But you made me capable
Sometimes it sad
I ignored you
It makes me feel bad
Why did i act a fool
For your love is true

Premium Member Isle of Love Vi

my love is well composed
composed like a symphony
which produces sweet melody
like a well practiced opera
to be performed at the theater
i can even smell her presence
at the entrance
for she is perfumed with fragrance
sweet fragrance from France
and cloth with elegance
i won't tell no lie
your gold and diamonds
wealth a purchase
but i can't wait
to see her face

The Isle

The isle was filled with sticker'd things.
Each one a different price.
Their order along the perfect shelf
for everything concise.

To walk along the isle delightful,
as everything seemed bright.
Where the need for finding something new
made everything excite.

A moment I could not forget;
where everything was there,
when no amount of money made
could make the time to spare.

Pandemic Love

I've walked a thousand mile
  To loves' land
   I've read the pages' file
To take her by the hand
Still dreaming of walking down the isle
    And dancing to the band

     What is love ? … I ask
     Take off your mask
     And I'll show you.

      So....

  Take me to your heart
Like a sheep to the slaughter
Your kiss will capture my heart
   One way or another.

Emerald Isle

Let me take you by the hand
And lead you through my loving land
You will be greeted with a smile
Share in banter that beguiles
As golden harps
Play sweet tunes
Leprechauns dance under full moons
Glowing fires warm you soul
As colleens dance on the ballroom floor
Fields are green and valleys lush
With streams and lakes
Full of tranquil hush
Castles stand throughout the land
Steeped in the history of their clans
