Premium Member Rekindling an Old Friendship

Rekindled, our bond,
Years lost, now paths interlace,
Laughter blooms anew,
Memories, like stars, align,
Warmth in the cold space between.

The two colors clings
Purple and white interlace
As a triumph arc
Witnessing the promises
Uttered to the blue ether

Whimsical beauties dancing, interlace their lives together.
Choreographing, rehearsing, and dieting collectively,
All so they can delight and entertain audiences with skill.

Springtime's Pace

No winter’s trace
a warm embrace
is on your face
as flowers grace
and leaves reface
on trees and space.
While rabbits chase
arms interlace.
Slowdown the race
to springtime’s pace
in every place.

Poetic Communion

Soft whispers spoken under silken sheets
Promises made when strangers meet

Worlds apart yet hearts entwined
Through poetry their love enshrined

Souls joined with soft embrace
Emotions flow and interlace

Shadows flicker in candle light
Two poets lost in sheer delight

This slice of time and space
Will barely register a trace
In the historical database
Don't discard it to be erased

Slow down the chaotic pace
Replace the chase with faith
Interlace gratitude with grace
To embrace all that we face

Our story will be encased
In the core of the human race
Live with no regrets or haste
Since steps can't be retracted

Premium Member Our Hands Touch

our hands touch

                            interlace

palm to palm

                      embrace

each other

                  they face

if they were lips they’d kiss

                        descend the staircase

our kingdom in

                         slow pace

and time, outside our realm

                                           erase

Summer Loving

Summer loving having some fun
Under the boardwalk kisses become
Moist sensuous lips
Moving across sweaty tips
Enjoying those hot tender moments
Relishing each sweet embrace
Legs and arms interlace
Obsessed with each delight
Vaguely aware of the now night sky
Immersed in the sweet darkness
Nothing but the moon to shine
Glistening, so beautifully intertwined

Dancing Sea

pleasure of the sea

in the thrill of dancing waves

around rocks interlace

springing up quite high

in communion with the winds

back and forth they swing.

Premium Member A Friendly Face

I scan folk’s faces to recognize a friend, though few comprehend. Everything I need to know is in their face, to shun or embrace. Stifled smiles and constant frowns leave telltale signs, non-verbal guidelines. Love's lifelong caress creases a friendly face where smiles interlace. While many pretend or overextend, I scan folk’s faces to recognize a friend.

The Power of Music

When my sail goes a wandering
And my sea is on a storm
Its semi classical music meandering
That soothes my heart so torn
The trembling passions evoked
The silent pouring of balm
Unknown happiness cloaked
Like magic in sea turned calm
Out of the imagination rise
A quiet and serene place
Where the sweet strains flies
And God with soul interlace

Music

Carried by winds of captivating grace
Causing word and deed to interlace

For when man does speaketh through his soul
It connects him with the universe as a whole

Inspiration given and marvels soon made
All through a simple song timely played

Actions then imbued with heavenly verse
Makes struggle more easy to traverse

For music and magic be one and the same
Both given and got by mans inner flame

Connections

Connections

To the water’s edge for solitude
Life rippling near river’s bed
Prayers lifted now in gratitude
As burdens heavy cloak is shed

See my brothers
See my sisters
Drifting now in foreign lands
See the members
Of my family
In each and every clan

At the water’s edge in solitude
Tears mingling with life’s stream
Visions of connections interlace
As realities overlap the dreams

diving through fluorescent
      waves
            of the cosmos,
        far beyond the stretches
                      of exploding supernovas,
      and collapsing
            constellations of black holes,
                our glistening
      fingers interlace~
                      seeking solace
    in astral weightlessness,
            where stars serenade
                                eternal love…

Up From Id

On the delicate balance of sanity
the energies flow
THEY COME AND GO
they come and go
theycomeandgo.

Whether backing up to a migraine wall
or spilling out in a passionate call
from suicide to superman
my thoughts would race and interlace
the loosely knit fabric of time.

I was there
there
THERE
and everywhere
'til I met you.

Soft brown eyes and tender warmth
showed me a way and asked me to stay
and I know that I will my love.

Premium Member Palm Tree Sonnet

Stiff pleated fronds in concert rise
to wax under the April sun
and trill their canticles begun
in verses jade that they comprise.

Chartreuse of thorny branches splay
a tumult to belie the grace
that on display they interlace
like rose stems on a breezeless day.

Atop the thatched denuded bole
gush fountains cast in cardamom,
an opalescent diadem
that glistens on the mossy knoll.

In thus exuberant array
do cloistered peacocks mime ballet.

Irony of Life

Irony of Life

In the quest for more, desires take flight,
A luxury car owner envies the jet's height.
The motorbike rider dreams of the car's gleam,
While the cyclist longs for the engine's scream.

The one on foot watches the bike glide by,
Yearning for wheels, a chance to fly.
And the one with legs, in silent plea,
Envies the walker, wishes to be free.

From planes to feet, desires interlace,
In the irony of life, we all chase but nothing.

She knew she wasn't the
first shy girl conned beneath
a scintillant moon.

Why do boys lie so
- inveigling fabrications
- hoping to impress?

Why interlace fibs,
when, from first sight, she had longed
for his carnal lips?

Now doubts danced - as if
evil spirits were called and
asked to watch, and gloat.

"I can't talk to you
again," she said, "after all
- you’re a stranger."

She doubted he cared
- she doubted everything, like
she had a soiled heart.

Twisted yarns in warped interlace
Like love that's caught in cold embrace
Old bright spark refuses to flow
Like a kiss wrapped in flakes of snow

For, one wants care and one wants fame
So sad, their paths can't be the same
Two yarns bound tight but just can't rhyme
Like love enslaved by space and time

Even at times, their paths do cross
Only time mourns the chance they loss
So close, but they can't flow in tune
Like two feet caught in sands of dune

Final Encore

I tripped upon some words
manifesting this line
but for the next
i might
take
my time
Watching rainbow
beams
flowing colour streams
from tips
of phoenix tails
just new born
and embers
bathe within the fire
of eternal sire
to watch its offspring's
final dawn
Adorn the words with letters
create spaces for the spaces
interlace the laced intern
combine the line
is written in the sand
No one understand
Welcome to my land
was your journey planned
dont clap
Just stand

Passionate Heat

eyes like stars, voice like velvet
my dream sings a lullaby in my ear,
its his voice i long every night to hear,
sweet rhythms and warm melodies,
he sings our song like a curing remedy.
tender hands interlace with my own
scent of lilac hovers around me as i
breath in with soft breaths
a curtain of black surrounds my face
i feel his heat through my nighty of lace
ne'er have i everfelt passion this sweet
i've met this man in my dreams,
it's reality i hope, soon, we'll meet.

Premium Member Extraordinary Pleasure

On a moonlit rendezvous, feelings merge and interlace. And like a creamy toffee, sweethearts meld as they embrace. Love garners sweet candied dreams from reality's mirage. And hungry, compliant lips, share a gummy bear massage. Sweet, sugar-coated wishes morph into chocolate hearts. And make peppermint kisses, scrumptious as honey-dipped tarts. A confectionery treat, love is something you treasure. For its indulgence brings such extraordinary pleasure.

Love's Mystery (Saraband Sonnet (Spanish/French Combination))

Why should you mean so much to me?
In all this world, it is you alone
who fills my heart with love’s decree.

In winter’s wind your love is shown
a ray of sun, a warm embrace,
the mystery of passion grown,
where silk and roses interlace.

Why you and not another heart,
can lose my senses with one glance
but then you’ve had me from the start.

A single word, desire’s romance,
as odes of love our lives enhance,
like magic from a wishing-well
your heart has wrapped me in its spell.
