The Kite
The kite went left
Right – the wind blew
Silently as a thief,
unspoiled blue
welcomes a guest;

It is easy to rest
Above – inconspicuous
but to the mind’s eye,
Glorious because
an unique design....

Follow Me
The secretive type
I like to creep in the night
when you hear me speak
under my breath to be polite
(i'm talking to you)
inconspicuous keep killing
the mystique building
I only speak to the
freakishly sick children...

Under a jammed packed pile
spread over
a heap of things

on the top of a desk top
black with books and pens and notes
inconspicuous

this lonesome page
implanted therein
no more

an expression
of imagination

Coronavirus Covid-19
Whispered from a far
A nameless breath
Appearing like a mirage
Inconspicuous at first
Crossing oceans like puddles

The blackness of Death
Sickness of Blue
Casting your shadow amidst
Name on the lips of many
History’s plague of our time...

Darkness and radiance
frolicsome purport

and access of

visible world and
inconspicuous world
heart to grace

spawn the shades of truth
redeemer

between
contest of awareness
and the depth of the ocean

concealed
beneath the shackles
of humankind

Hysteria
H esitant, tenuous, an inconspicuous mind,
Y ielding incoherence, as reality collides,
S ubtle, grim, emotions strive,
T ormented, distressed feelings glide,
E ncrusting the soul, as fear ignites a
R ambling fire of strife…
I ntimidating, terrifying, an adversary of might,
A n aspiration to fight…...

Memory

Where has the grass gone, juicy,
Green, shiny as if covered with a transparent varnish.
Where did I go,
Chained to the coolness of the life-giving carpet,
Sprinkled with the glare of the sun, straight from the blue sky.
Where is the flower?
In which I lived like something winged and inconspicuous....

The Creek
River so deep, fathomless
attractive, intriguing

The stories
your dark waters
concealed

My canoe crashed
obscure boulder,
inconspicuous blockade

So much for my wisdom
and being older

The watercourse
became narrow
the stream
became weak

My majestic river
dwindled
to an unpretentious creek....

Under the Radar
flying inconspicuous
wearing my shades tinted incognito
beneath the radar
I love sailing in the flow

so exhilarating is the freedom
while cruising in disguise
invisible as a stealth
undetected to the naked eye

silently soaring
no one may ever know
I'll remain anonymous
wearing my shades tinted incognito...

Just Looking To Feel
I can't weep the sadness from me
it trickles inconspicuous
and never quietens the volume
Blurred sight making passing vehicles
headlights spayed and sprayed
across the oil black asphalt
like orphaned sprites in the deadened night
Looking for myself in the periphery
Looking for the moments when the pain
can be felt
Just looking to feel...

Birds In My Tree
Cat birds nestled in my hemlock
There were only two, not a flock
Slightly obscured by the needles of the greens
Must want to be inconspicuous, it seems.

They were not singing which they often do
Sparrows and finches perching below, maybe a few,
Two cardinals on a branch sitting so close together
Have I seen that variety before? no not ever....

The Famous Expedition
A garden beneath the soaring sunrise-
Somewhere in nowhere
Lingers on~ in no-mans' land
A Majestic and glamorous scene-
A master piece with a picture green-
Landmarked with meadows within that nowhere-
Watered with blue waters perfumed in streams of gold.
Inconspicuous on a mystical terrain-
Lying hidden from the curious men
That explorers, wouldn't rather refrain....

I’m a whisper in the wind, shouting out, mocked by reality, plagued by doubt, struggling to grasp what life is all about. Rendered inconspicuous as white noise I’ve set aside hope, like yesterday’s toys, what my heart harbors, my ego destroys. I’m a question, posing as an answer, both a catalyst and an enhancer, I treat hypocrisy as a cancer. (Poetic Triplet) Sept. 23, 2018

Once ignored in a conversation
What a feeling of indignation
In an aging and lonely situation
Now I'm feeling those same sensations

Having a disability
Given no accountability
Existing in invisibility
One wouldn't think a possibility

Inconspicuous but still there
People don't disappear in thin air
It leaves such a feeling of despair
When you feel like nobody cares

Inconspicuous Queendom
A slab of cracked concrete pavement
Permanently fixed in a row
Of similar, less damaged slabs
Exists a miniaturized realm.
Within the fracture grows a few,
Tiny clumps of unnoticed grass
And a single dandelion.
Deep within the dark cavity
A colony of zealous ants
Ruled by a single fertile queen
Work in well defined labor crews.
A team of seven working high
Atop the yellow nectar globe
Begin their long laden descent....

Would I be able to expand my wings? I walk around the mists. I do stunts in the breeze. I console the powers of murkiness. Arrange the resulting time frames As in chess, for evident reasons. A raindrop lands on my courtyard. Each day, I water my day dawn. I usually appreciate some water on the lawn. A connection between ordinary associations. Appearing late, everything is pushed back.

Here come the birds a-twittering at 8:26 a.m.
The racket not heard until now, but now
the sweet pecking of my eardrums drum
in the sweetest way — the way God made them to.

Too precious the vainglorious melody, simply
harmonious, it flees. Replacement choir says cheese.
Release your chirping song inconspicuous lovebird,
winged-treasury of heav’n psalm, choir of angels.
Angels sent to pleasure my ears —
an earful of morning cheer.

I, Spy
Face against the door,
Pressed tight.
Trying to hear, to see.
Cold night.
Straining, reaching,
Tippy toes,
Breathing, barely,
Through my nose.

Hushed muttering,
Lips fast,
Heart rattling. Too loud.
Moment passed.
Captured words, tones,
Hurting hard,
Stifled tears, lump in throat,
I hate this part.

Suddenly shivering,
Small noise,
Breath kept tight,
Holding poise.
No one noticed, looked,
No ones cares,
My cupboard inconspicuous,
Beneath the stairs....
