Premium Member The Tryst

There was that moment,
that glimpse of sadness come,
when silently she withdrew.
To savor in private thought;
a memory which only she knew.
Her secret rendezvous

Premium Member She Was the Odd-One-Out

In my class she was the odd-one-out
Kept her craziness to herself
Drew secretly in private
A prolific writer
Extraordinary
Silent talent
We feared her
Warned by
Some

Premium Member Wee Paris

In Paris

now you can pee
or wee
all while you sight-see
ah Paris
environmentally pee free
feminists  however
must store their pee
only in private
can they set their wee free

In Private Space

The things
little things
I can adore
keep me wanting
to
reach a shore
of you,
a ending place
beginning door
through
a key hole
climb
see you traced
in life
in private space

Premium Member A Lovely Fate For the Irate

Senator Kristen Sinema negotiates only in private
Which drives her colleagues and reporters crazy-irate

   I think if America had 49 more Senators like her
   From all their ranting and raving the rest would demur
Form: Epigram

Fake People

They only had time for me when they were in a crowd
and they could show how great they were so all would think them proud
very different scenes in private laughing out so loud
it's not their friends they care about but those rarely around

When Should I Measure It

When love costs
that's when you should measure it.
Keep pleasant
undemanding love a secret.
Enjoy it in private
or boast.
Never tell it secrets,
especially secrets of a
demanding kind.
When love holds
in spite of hurt
then it's alive.

Life In Secret

Buy land in secret
Build the house in secret
Then do the house warming party
With publicity
Date in secret
Propose in private
Then marry in front of a crowd
Let your haters only see your reality
Never your vision
Or you will have division.

Naked Truth Grook

We are very civilized people We hate nudity and banned **** We cover everything - even the naked truth Rape is prevalent - but, we do it in private Only the poor children can be found naked here Sorry, we could not cover them all 12.02.16

(The British Medical Council want to ban smoking in private cars, even when the driver is on his own.)

suspended sentence for beating his wife
just a sad fact of modern day life
and then the dastard really went too far
got six months for smoking in his car

Premium Member I Don'T Care Who They'Re Screwin' In Private

I do care who they're screwin' in public
~~~~~~~~ this poem is word for word plagiarized. If you know who I plagiarized, you probably have a good feel for freaky people and the aliveness of the streets. If you don't, you can ask me or whatever.
Her Wish
The simple things
The holding of hands in public
The caress of fingertips on a face
The touch of a tongue on skin
Arms around your body
To give comfort
To give love
To protect
To cuddle
Caresses
Long kisses
Touches in private places
Longing for that special touch
To give of yourself
Premium Member A Scorned Woman
The abscessed wounds of
a betrayed heart fester
from desertion and deceit.
.
She takes solitude in shadows
gnawing herself red and raw,
rankling in private torment;
gnashing her teeth.
Until pain and grief turn noxious
with a fury justly sworn
to the retributory scourge
of a woman's woeful scorn.
so we pass the push one for english
talking to the internet in private as we may be recorded
get your ass here sweet we have a problem
found in a garden three fences away no guilt to me
and you on long island told me I was the best to get things moving
with soft language and asking what you ate for breakfast
A rendezvous near daybreak
       Eternal friends; sun and moon
                    in private conversation
                               Charming wonderment
Democracy
In public
              first: freedom
                                  In private
                                                  first: equality
                                                                      In society
                                                                                      my choice for you.
Crank Callers
It's the new crank call
 A bridgeless troll
 A keyboard warrior
 In private euphoria
It's a disconnection
 On-screen reflection
 On enters press
 Eternal numbness
It's a devil's advocate
 A spineless strut
 A hit-and-run
 Of thoughtless fun
It's the new crank call
 The death of soul
 A bridgeless troll
 The blackest hole
**** Break
Captured in private
But widely dispersed
To the curious,
Romantic,
And wildly perverse.
Trancelike we sit in our own
pleasure chambers
Watching graphic depictions of
our fantasy strangers
Engaged, yet removed
Shape shift between spaces
Transposed, not committed
Remove all the traces
Delete today's history
Log off and be gone
Premium Member Mother Disappearing
Mother Disappearing
repaginating reality,
in private fashion,
in a doorless tabernacle,
dementia holds mother
hostage
no ransom to be had.
suspended like
Gods nearly touching Adam
though powerless to deliver
lucid breath to their mother,
the children, bereft of her
reassurance, are lost as she is.
Nothing But Heaven
Nothing but Heaven
is my goal in this life
the air I breathe in
the work I do in public
my behavior in private life
how I get wealth
how I use earthly riches
the clothes I wear
the relations I make
with fellowmen here
how I respond to enemies
point towards nothing else
but heaven where my Father
lives in glory
waiting for my return to me
in glory
Tiny Insertions
Tiny insertions
In wrong places
Sometimes freezing
Names in hot faces
Fingers in nostrils
Or nostrils in winter
Then forceful insertions
In useful veins
Raptures unexpected
But capturing
Pains
...
Wait, you are yet
To get the full effect
Once the tiny insertions
Hit the core
Then the fore feels
The spot spoilt
By the insertions
In private places...
The world is going mad.
We are told to stand still.
The same hands bless and take.
They have always known how.
God is used.
Hunger is explained.
Power eats in private.
Outside, the noise is managed.
They own more than countries.
We learn the number.
We forget the cost.
Nothing breaks.
Nothing stops.
The world is going mad
and this is called order.
Premium Member fakery
I can be a wretched fake, in private, intimate performance.
I’m an actress capable of imitating spontaneous pleasure -
by tricks of hesitation, convulsive vocal play and postures.
A mimicry undetectable to an immediate spectator.
Aww, thank you, I’ll sigh, as if leaving a good party.
“I’ve got a lot of homework to do,” I’ll add, a minute later.
To clear the stage.
You Do Like Poetry
Okay, you don’t like poetry
Maybe we can understand
But maybe we can’t
We see you in your car
We were not supposed to
You thought you were in private
But guess what, the world saw you
Driving along singing with the radio
It does not matter who it was
Their lines rhythmed over and over
Isn’t that the definition of a poem
So, maybe you always did like poetry
You just didn’t know it
