(The British Medical Council want to ban smoking in private cars, even when the driver is on his own.)

suspended sentence for beating his wife
just a sad fact of modern day life
and then the dastard really went too far
got six months for smoking in his car

Your poem shines a light on farcical UK laws Terry that make a mockery of this country. Nothing surprises me any more. .I think we still have that Public Health Act in law which states that taxis can’t transport rabid dogs and that drivers have an obligation to ask passengers if they have smallpox. Cheers - Gary

Thanks Gary - they just keep these laws there just in case to sort out the uppity peasantry while they themselves avoid taxes.

We in a crazeeee world Mr. Ireland. Its really getting scary. I spend more time on the phone trying to get mistakes fixed than I care to count. They deliver the wrong goods, they charge the wrong amount or charge twice or charge for delivery when the item was picked up. Thanks on the heads up on this one Terry, still shaking my head in disbelief. Best wishes.

There’s a happy medium between the Nanny Society and Not Caring but we can’t seem to find it

Stupidity is universal, Terry. They actually thought about that here a few years back. Too hard to enforce.

Sadly we are ruled by well meaning idiots. Thanks Daniel
